I need a little help.
I'm working to prepare for the May 21, 2013 launch of the third book in my Henry Wood Detective series.
One of the important components of the launch will be putting book 2, Henry Wood: Time & Again on a KDP Select Free days. To make it successful, I'll need to submit it to the sites who promote such days.
To submit it to those sites, I'll need, in most cases, some reviews. So, this is where I need your help.
If anyone out there is interested in reading Henry Wood: Time and Again (68,658 words), the second book in the series, and is willing to do it in the next week, I'll be happy to give you the Kindle version for free, now. The point being, I'll also need you to post a review, too.

Prompt-and-Share This is an exercise not a story prompt.
This one is for anyone, not necessarily writers. It's all about your name. Nobody knows what it's like to have your name but you. And in character developing names are very important.
So what I'd like to see from you wonderful people, is about 500 words on your name. Where did it come from? What was it like to live with your name? Would you change it if you could? If so, what would change it to and why?

No need for conflict or resolution or anything, this is just an exercise for fun. Looking forward to seeing what you awesome folk come up with!

I just finished reading Eat Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss. Here's a glimpse of the story behind the title (as per back cover of book).
A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds to fire it at the other patrons.
"Why?" asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage, as the panda makes towards the exit.
The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "Well, I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."
