I've just received my new toys from +Peak Design, makers of Capture, the first project I helped fund on kickstarter.
The leash seems nice but I don't think it's going to replace my Black Rapid strap. The cuff looks handy, especially with the nifty release system. But the best part must be the plates and especially the new MICROplate, the best Arcaèstyle plate I've tried so far for my smaller camera (m4/3) that will let me use the Black Rapid strap at the same time. Similar to what the 3LT plate let me do, but much smaller, hence much more convenient on a small camera. The Fusion Plate project (also on kickstarter) is about to get funded and we'll see how good that one is, but for the time being, I think I'll be using the Peak Design MICROplate and cuff when out with my small m4/3 camera. It's time for our second Apéro Photo ! This time we'll meet in the early afternoon, it'll be easier to get a drink at different places if we don't have to bother with reservations.
The route is not precisely determined yet, but the theme will be... beer ! There are a few excellent places in Paris to discover all kinds of brands, and that's what we'll do (with a bit a photography here and there, yes), starting at 3.00pm on Saturday, June 1. :)

Ça fait longtemps qu'on ne vous a pas vus alors retrouvons-nous pour une sortie photo hanami (« voir les fleurs », en japonais) au Parc de Sceaux le dimanche 21 avril. Rendez-vous est donné sur la Place du Châtelet à 12h00, d'où nous prendrons le RER B qui nous emmèneras (presque) jusqu'au parc. Vous pouvez bien entendu nous retrouver à la sortie du RER, station Bourg-la-Reine, à 13h00, ou directement dans la parc. Nous commencerons par un pique-nique dans le Bosquet Nord. À dimanche !

I refuse to make limited editions of digital prints of digital images on purely ideological grounds, but Mike Johnston has an even more compelling argument for you to consider: they don't help the artist, only the secondary market. Moonlight photography
And what better way to end the day than with another of those moonlit shots. You'll remember from past episodes (check out the rest of the album if you've missed them) that the idea is that the scene is lit almost exclusively by the moon, which helps give the image this surreal feel. Needless to say, it's much brighter here than it was to the naked eye.
