I have been trying so hard to get by in this world. My little photo landscape business has grown locally somewhat. This week many things have hit me hard with my las remaining Aunt near deaths door.
yesterday the death of my computer took my ability to process pictures. I am trying to raise money for a new computer. If you are around the White Salmon area I have a large gallery show at the White Salmon community library and all prints are marked down 40% off this week. The library is located on the same parking lot as the harvest market in White Salmon. Also I have photo books on sale.

I am in southern Washington in White Salmon, WA... most known for shooting around Mount Adams, and the Columbia Gorge, and particularly for my fascination with lenticular clouds and atmospheric optics like Rainbows and iridescence. I will try to figure this community thing out... so what do we have to add to our posts to send them here to the community? or do we just post here?

Twilight on Fog Frost... we have recently had a run of icy cold and fog combination in the hills above the Columbia River Gorge, which has led to some lovely scenes. #frost

I tried to catch some light and a halo to come say hello with, but it kept slipping away! Yes, this is just a fun iPhone shot just to say hello, but the halo was so pretty I wanted to share it... Thanks for the invite, +Evan Dermatis I will come back soon and read the discussion and such. I love sharing and learning from other people, and lately have been surprised when some locals have asked me to teach them something... I think of myself as a rank beginner still most of the time!
I have said many times, it is all about the light... and love watching how a scene changes dynamically from one second to another with that critical shift in light. I also notice within myself how winter gray times I get sluggish and tired... but let that light pop out like it did today with gorgeous blue skies in the East end of the Columbia River Gorge in southern Washington, and I am bouncing around again singing and... more »
