Went to the hockey game Saturday night. They said nothing to me bringing in my camera. 2 minutes into the game security said my camera was to big and I couldn't use it. Thats what all the girls say!
I stuck my Nikon D300 with a 70-300 down the sleeve of my jacket and continued shooting. They are not perfect but from shooting off my knee they are not bad. by the way the Canadians are in last place and we lost 3-2.

I took this photo because of the amazing Zenn Temple in the back ground. When I got home on my Mac I started wondering about the slanted tree. Did they push the tree over when it was little, or is it just growing this way. Many of the trees on this property are all craved.
One thing the tree makes for a interesting shot.

Went out for a walk with my camera on Sunday and ran into the Tokyo Marathon. I was impressed with the number of people.

Just after setup for a HDR shot, a nice couple was walking into the scene. A fast trigger caught them with little movement. The couple gives the shot a ghostly disposition. I always like to shot and wait for the results, just like film.

This was taken on a day trip from Tokyo. The train system in Japan is awesome, so easy to get around. Zenn Temple in Kanagawa Japan.

I travelled to Hokkaido Japan to see what I see every morning on my way to work. Snow and random trees sitting on a hill side. This is a unit shot, apple tree in the center of the field, with the sun coming up, pink in the sky.

Some times you see when you least expect it.

While in Tokyo I just was looking out my hotel window to see if I could get some night shots of the city lights. This is not what I was expecting. I know my black lab is big but not like this. I'll add a pic of Chase (black lab) in his more quite poses. Can you think of the size of the poop bag you need for this one.

Snow monkeys from my Japan workshop. I got to stop getting in the catch eyes of my subject. little frost catching on his whiskers. They are so cute looking you just want to give them a hug!!

At home I sometimes see cat prints on my car. I have cats, dogs, squirrels, skunks in my garage. Thank god I don't have monkeys wondering the streets at home. Can you explain to the insurance why my car needs new wiper arms again.

While out for a walk in the morning I came across 2 monkeys sitting on top of this car. I think they didn't want to be disturbed.

Just amazed with the detail of workmanship in the Japanese Temples. This one I had no problem shooting but I could not pass the line.

Walking down the street in Tokyo, you could easily miss something like this. Tucked away between very large building was this temple. The craftsmanship on this building is stunning. I could have spent hours photographing. I really like the Dragon fountain.

Looking across the bay at Grand Pineapple Resort in Antigua. Hand held HDR. Just breath taking place to spend a week with the family just before Christmas. No matter where you look you see cel towers. Beautiful quite place resort on the Atlantic shore. The warm breeze coming off the ocean keeps the flies away.

Picking on a spider on my front porch. I used a tamron 500mm f8 manual focus lens in macro mode. The strange thing after I photographed the spider with the flash it moved it's web some where else. Very sharp lens really works great with the Nikon D300 making it a 750mm. Small light weight easy to carry in your day bag.
