It was two months ago today that Aaron Swartz took his life, let's not forget.

As you know, last year CISPA was withdrawn after a very loud public outcry. Now the legislation is back again. Back without any modifications whatsoever. Is this democracy ?

In addition to some of the people listed below, the proponents include the +US Chamber of Commerce and the Broadband Association.

Some of the opponents include +Rackspace, Demand Progress, and the +American Library Association Washington Office and of course +Tim Berners-Lee.

Wow. This is utterly atrocious. They aren't trying to clear up the rape problem, they're still trying to cover up the rape problem. When the base commander can just overturn a conviction and put the person back on duty, that's appalling. 

The Air Force Times reported last month that Lt. Col. James Wilkerson, a former inspector general at Aviano Air Base in Italy, had been convicted on Nov. 2 on charges of abusive sexual contact, aggravated sexual assault and three instances of conduct unbecoming of an officer and a gentleman. The incident had involved a civilian employee.

Wilkerson was sentenced to a year in prison and dismissal from the service. But Lt. Gen. Craig Franklin, the commander of 3rd Air Force, later dismissed the charges. The Air Force Times reported that Franklin had concluded that the evidence was insufficient to meet the burden of proof beyond a reasonable... more »

"Among the sleep-deprived, the activity of 444 genes was suppressed, while 267 genes were more active than in those who slept for longer. Changes to genes that control metabolism might trigger or exacerbate  conditions such as diabetes or obesity, while disruption to other genes, such as those that govern the body's inflammatory response, might have an impact on heart disease. Further genes that were affected have been linked to stress and ageing. Hey AT&T, how come--

When i log-in to "My AT&T" and click on "Special" "upgrade" "deals & prices," i the only deals i see are for second-rate phones, old phones, or obsolete phones?

I realize too that you have no ethical intention when you list a bunch of top-of-the-line, relevant, and popular phones in the same special list but offer not a single penny off the regular price. It's deceptive and dishonest of you to do this. I wonder how many people upgrade to say- the newest iPhone- from this page, thinking they're getting a "deal" or that the price is in any way "special" as you claim it is.

The word "upgrade" is cheap leverage too. You make billions from assorted products and services.. Why do you have to be so psychopathic in nickle and diming everybody?

Holy shhh, what?! This is interesting.

I've never been referred to as a visionary, and so i faithfully didn't see this coming.. But it seems pretty inevitable when you look at it.

What now are the ramifications, the hurdles, the consequences, of app-makers hosting the bandwidth? And what of the smaller, after-school/work devs or the startups--can they expect competitive rates in this future, playing as they are alongside the likes of behemoths Zynga, Rovio, and EA? Or will this just amount to Walmart-sploitation and more pressure for patent bullying.

At the very least, Play Store babies will have more opportunities to whine and one-star every free app, iteration, and innovation they can get their grubby little reviews on.

Whatever. It won't last long will it? There's always a spigot, there's always a door opening; digital is fluid.
