Just finished implementing the GEO Location on the Android App.

You can now add GEO locations for any crag that has not yet been located and publish it to theCrag.com for all everyone to use.

We will be releasing this next week sometime.

We have just done a website release with 89 issues resolved. Well actually I have still got to run some post release scripts and tidy up, so it will be a day or two before this is all finished. Lot's of changes lot's under the hood as well.

We got great things planned ahead, Let me run through a few things we need to get covered:

Need a few members to jump on board ( Climbers, photographors, internet programmer and assistants).

Need to get our website up and running.

Starting a funding project (Project Climb South Africa) to get us to go and travel SA, so we can document all the places to climb plus get all the right information loaded on a website ( www.theCrag.com ) with all the pictures and information needed to climb in that area.

All of this is going to be a lot of work and can't be done alone. If anyone does know where they can help or know anyone that can assist please do contact us at ClimbingSouthAfrica@gmail.com

Android App- initial public release
A big milestone for us, the app is now out there. If you want to be part of the initial public release click below to register your interest.

A couple of things to note:

1. One of the reasons we've limited the initial release is that there will probably still be a still be a couple of things that need polishing as we scale up. If you’re not ready to give us a 5 star review we’d prefer to receive your feedback, work on it and would love it if you could hold off on giving us a review until you’re ready for it to be a good one. Please be patient and continue to provide feedback, comments and suggestions.

2. There will be a small in-app subscription fee for some crags. We are working on a system whereby users who have contributed content to the site will get credits based on their Crag Karma levels and will be able to use theseto pu... more »

Hello All,

Just wanted to send you all a quick update on the progress of theCrag app.

Last week we released a massive round of bug fixes and improvements. 

This week we have have been working on improving the messaging function. 
Messaging has become a lot easier and more intuitive. 

We have also worked on improving the offline capability of the app.
Your favorite crags including topos, crag and route descriptions will soon be completely available offline.
No internet connection required, great when you are climbing in remote areas or traveling overseas. 

We have listened to the comments from our beta testers and we are including several key improvements to crag overview and route usability.

We are also coming up with ways to keep your copy of the crag up to date. This is no small task, with over 224,000 routes, and over30,... more »
