I haven't picked up my camera for months now and the recent long weekend was not an exception to that. Maybe its because I'm busy? Or maybe I'm just feeling a little lazy lately to carry it around?

Hmm.. Probably both.

What I do use most of the time lately though is my smartphone. I enjoy shooting the streets with it for 2 reasons: first is that it is way lighter than my camera, second is that I can shoot inconspicuously with it (compared to a DSLR at least)

Not only has Google+ changed the way I see the world, but it's made me turn my monitor from landscape to portrait orientation. It's kind of neat since I've never tried it before, but it works perfectly. No more whitespace...now I don't know where I'm going to put the bacon though :/

Attempting to do Startrails with a non-class 10 memory card is futile. You'll get short trails like these if you do not heed this warning.

I learned my lesson the hard way -- more than an hour of exposure down the drain.

The farthest I've been up north, and it was all worth it. There were some mishaps during the trip, but, it was fun-filled nonetheless.

Aside from the fact that I'm running out of battery around the time this shot was taken, I'm feeling too lazy to expose for a longer time. Instead, I opted to take this shot at ISO800 f3.5 30secs. Luckily, the moon was still at its waning crescent phase to illuminate the whole cove and there was a kaingin happening that made the background interesting.
