Wild Waves at Sunset
Shooting at shore from afternoon to evening, I saw the water changing color from light to navy blue into pretty dark at sunset time. I rarely saw this water color at La Jolla. But the waves were really lovely.

Flowing with Light - A beautiful sunset at La Jolla
Looking carefully I found my shadow in the image. I was pondering for quite a while why my shadow was cast against the sun, until I recalled there was a wedding photo session right behind me when I was taking this picture. Now you realized how busy the human activities are behind each of the beautiful nature scenes. Just don't look back :)

A View from Double Peak Park
No ocean view here? :) I dropped by the local mountain peak at the sunset time. It was not the most beautiful sunset I hoped. I encountered much better view in the past but never had camera with me. Hope to shoot more in the future.

I found even the full resolution uploaded image to G+, the image doesn't look like the original. It often adds some noise. I think the upload must have undergone some sort of compression.

Shining at Last
This was the moment I was waiting for the whole afternoon. The sky was overcast for long time. I perched on the rock and once a while got splashed by the big ones as the waves were picking up. I thought I was prepared for the moment. Bad thing happens always unexpectedly. My camera got stuck - the shutter wouldn't release right before the sun was ready to burst out! I thought the camera was malfunctioning because of the salty water splash. It happened to me before. In all this hopeless and being ready to call off, I held back the shutter release cable ready to go --- Ah !! The button! The button wasn't released by the push-hold! You know how exciting I was as if the moment never belonged to me and I just stole it! The sun finally burst out for as long as a couple of minutes, long enough for a few exposures. Pacific as Seen from Neptune
Again, this is from the photo walk last night with +E.E. Giorgi and +Lisa Co at Neptune Pl. of La Jolla. In absence of clouds, the spectrum looks more pure. The long exposure became natural option at dusk. +Lisa Co claimed she has no patience to wait for LE. But she does have tremendous patience waiting for others to take LE :)) Oh, I got it, it was the food that kept her talking into the night... We need arrange some kind of food walk with Lisa next time ;-)

Tipping the Giant
This behemoth animal is very smart. Not only do they cooperate group hunting in the wild, their skills are enormous in captivity when begging for food by playing all the tricks. We know this by seeing the Shamu shows in the Seaworld. But one trick they don’t show you in public and I saw it after the show at side stage. The trainer side kicked his leg spreading up, the whale immediately made a fart sound. Fish! Then the other leg, fart again! More fish. Totally amazing ! This morning news said Seaworld is going to IPO to raise $500 mil. I am sure we will see more tricks. Enjoy :)

Sunset at Perez Cove
I was thinking folks at shore must be enjoying the sunset seascape tremendously while caught at Seaworld couldn't escape. I left my family in the waiting line to the Shamu Rocks show and was trying to get any view to the sunset. Here I was virtually outside the Seaworld territory at a gate with a crack. I couldn't get into any better vantage point beyond this. The security guard wouldn't let me step any further. Well, She let me get back in to the Seawold after the shot :)

I posted a similar photograph not long ago. I shot this right after the sun dropped to the clouds in the horizon. I feel the sky has more depth than the one with sunburst. I still love this one.
