Your public open data resource does not have a feature to export data in any structured format. Do you: c) make sure that it supports datasets documented in Imperial Aramaic and Old Irish.

Foreign investors are throwing money into questionably lawful regiemes all over the world that more or less inhibit repatriation of profits. See China.

If the well governed liberal democracy of the UK can't extract enough value from foreign investment attracted by generous repatriation carrots, it may not be a good idea to invest in the UK with or without carrots.

Dear +Apple (who are too shy to be on G+):  #uxfail

To display this message, Finder needed to have compared the proposed file name with specific rules. Why not tell the user which specific rule a name violates, and offer to remove the offending characters for the user? Or at least let the user edit the proposed file name, rather than deleting all the user's input (as was shown SATIRICALLY, not as a design recommendation, in the Jetsons)?

Also: "Punctuation marks" include periods, hyphens, and apostrophes, which are all valid characters in a file name. Why does your message box lie to the user?

A colleague wrote in another channel:

Why, at 12:45am do I make the ridiculous mistake of pressing 'no' to MS word's question "do you want to save this document before closing?" Why oh why oh why do I do these things...

A better question might be: Why does Word (and almost every other application) give users the option to so easily lose work, when it costs so little to save a temporary copy when quitting? Smarter applications save a copy to a different file when they quit by crashing, why not save such a copy when quitting under any circumstance?

Hey, +GIMP. It's time we had the talk. You know how you always believed that Comic Sans is a serious typeface for grown-up stuff? Well, it's not. We've been letting you call many other typefaces "Comic Sans" because you're just not very good at telling typefaces apart.

You'll learn, someday. You just need to try harder.
