Attending the taping of Tosh.0 yesterday was pretty interesting. I ended up in the standing room section, pretty much directly under the camera they use to pan over the sitting audience.
Daniel runs through the show twice, once in the order you're used to seeing on the show, and then he runs back through his segments in reverse order; trying different spins on jokes, and also to have more audience reactions to work with.

Tonight, for my first time, I checked out NerdMelt at Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd. for eight bux. Every comic that performed put on a hell of a show, and I'm definitely gonna go check it out again. I could probably talk at further length about all of these comics, but I'll try to keep it brief.
They had quite a few surprise guests pop in. Andrew Jeselnek tested some stuff for his season finale. I'll probably check out the episode of his show on Comedy Central when it airs to see how his jokes turn out on TV.
I'm a big fan of "The Eric Andre Show," so I was pretty stoked to see Hannibal Buress perform. Hannibal is super chill, and reminds me a lot of my roommate who hooked me up with the tour at the Petersen Auto Museum.
Ed Helms, of The Office/Hangover/etc., dropped by and told some pretty fuckin' funny stories.

My Bacon Number is Three.
My roommate's girlfriend is a production coordinator for this student film, and they needed some extras. Waymond Lee, of Workaholics, happened to show up to be an extra, too. 
The scene was a Christmas Party involving some drama between a Woman, her husband, and the woman's ex. At the party in the background, Waymond and I are hangin' out, drinking and checking out the art that's hanging on the walls.
I'm in some student film with Waymond Lee.
Waymond Lee appeared in Iron Man 2 with Mickey Rourke.
Mickey Rourke appeared in "Diner" with Kevin Bacon.

I got a tablet on cyber monday, and in the last few months, I've really been using it for ebooks. I've had some good time to check off a lot of books on my "list."
I just got started with this goodreads site. Seems pretty cool. You rate the books you've read, and let it know which books you plan on reading. Some people use this site to keep themselves on a good pace to read a shitload of books. My profile isn't fully fleshed out yet, but it's kinda cool seeing the pile of books I've read vs. the pile of books I plan on reading. Kinda cool to me, at least. But you might enjoy seeing where you stand on your reading goals, too.

MIT's artificial leaf is ten times more efficient than the real thing

The device is an advanced solar cell, no bigger than a typical playing card, which is left floating in a pool of water. Then, much like a natural leaf, it uses sunlight to split the water into its two core components, oxygen and hydrogen, which are stored in a fuel cell to be used when producing electricity.

Nocera's leaf is stable -- operating continuously for at least 45 hours without a drop in activity in preliminary tests -- and made of widely available, inexpensive materials -- like silicon, electronics and chemical catalysts. It's also powerful, as much as ten times more efficient at carrying out photosynthesis than a natural leaf.

Went and saw another Doug Loves Movies the other day.
This time he had Bill Burr [Kuby from Breaking Bad,] Pete Holmes [the main character's voice from Ugly Americans,] and Jeff Davis [All sorts of stuff like Whose Line is it Anyway?]
It was pretty damn funny. Pete Holmes was DRUNK AS SHIT and basically took over the show. Doug could do nothing but watch as his show was being hijacked
