Wow, they weren't kidding when I tried to unsubscribe the other day and they said "please allow up to 10 business days for this to be effective" or whatever. I've received the newsletter the last two days (after unsubscribing). Bastards.

If death meant just leaving the stage long enough to change costume and come back as a new character...Would you slow down? Or speed up?

My daughter, the little model that she believes herself to be. Anytime a camera is involved, she strikes a pose.

Now this is an inspiring video! Shows that perhaps the healthiest way to workout is not by going to a gym and doing repetitive, often unnatural movements, or jogging on pavements with thick-soled trainers that stop your feet from working properly.

We have made "Warrior Bracelets" to raise funds for The Warrior Ranch, a healing transitional living ranch for Veterans suffering from PTSD.
We have found a property that is great and we need to raise the funds to purchase it and start developing. Please support and share.

Here's a little tip for you if you're going to add me to your circles...
Don't add me, and then when I circle you back IM me and say "who are you" or "I don't know you". This is a social network. You should understand what that means before you go on using it.
And you probably shouldn't have circled me in the first place...

When it comes to Reality, we have no choice. We're already in the midst of Reality. It's not a matter of saying, "Okay, I accept Reality." Whether you accept it or not, Reality is Reality. We're stuck with it. Of course, we can always kick and scream, but what's the point?

Meet Vimal Patak. His crime is being a Hindu in Bangladesh, a country with a Muslim majority. His punishment is being beaten to death as he begged for his life by Muslim clerics who went on chanting infidel...infidel.

World peace begins with inner peace.
"We often think of peace as the absence of war, that if powerful countries would reduce their weapon arsenals, we could have peace. But if we look deeply into the weapons, we see our own minds- our own prejudices, fears and ignorance. Even if we transport all the bombs to the moon, the roots of war and the roots of bombs are still there, in our hearts and minds, and sooner or later we will make new bombs. To work for peace is to uproot war from ourselves and from the hearts of men and women. To prepare for war, to give millions of men and women the opportunity to practice killing day and night in their hearts, is to plant millions of seeds of violence, anger, frustration, and fear that will be passed on for generations to come." - Thich Nhat Hanh

They call this making a living? How many people have you seen who are more alive at the end of the workday than they were at the beginning? Do we come home from our "making a living" activity with more life? Do we bound through the door, refreshed and energized, ready for a great evening with the family? Where's all the life we supposedly make at work? For many of us, isn't the truth of it closer to "making a dying"? Aren't we killing ourselves - our health, our relationships, our sense of joy and wonder - for our jobs? We are sacrificing our lives for money - but it's happening so slowly that we barely notice.

"Contact your Senator to oppose this legislation!"
Contact Senator.
Response (paraphrase): "I think you're wrong, so I'm voting for it. Also, I'm in the majority as 62 others voted for it. Next time you're in DC please call my office so I may stick my tongue out at you in person."
This, folks, is why I don't bother. The few times that I do, I'm reminded why I don't.
