So anyway, what's cool about Google's e-book format is that once you buy my book you can read from anywhere you can sign into Google. It's a cloud book. Right now Google is pipsqueak in the e-book business. Way, way, way behind Amazon and Apple. It's easy to see Google catching up with an application like Google Play combined with high-volume sales of Android devices. I'm delighted wherever you buy my book, but I'll be super interested to see how Google does with it.

I'm excited to share two things this afternoon on Google+. One is the video of the talk I gave Feb. 13 at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. It's an hour-long version of the talk, with stimulating Q&A from an engaged Google audience, and it includes all my slides the illustrate the main points of the book. Second, and I'll include the link in a separate post, is the encouragement to buy my e-book from on Google Play, which appears to be a new branding campaign for buying content on Google. Last night I got to meet one of my journalistic heroes, Calvin Trillin. It's pretty neat to stand next to someone whose work you've admired for years and years.
