Should I Buy A Nexus - Available Today at Verizon 12-15-11?

After reviewing the comparison chart it is clear that both phones have clear advantages. While the Nexus is new, sleek, and has internet access it also comes with a higher operating cost. Data plan, text messaging, all added operating costs. The screen may also be hard to break, but the Brick never had that problem. You could through it against a wall or drop it from a moving car and it still keeps working. Don't think the Nexus can do that. I can also knock out a mugger with the Brick and call 911. The nexus only allows me to call 911. On a serious note the Nexus appears to be one of the best Android phones you can buy as of 12-15-11. #galaxynexus #nexus #verizon #nexus #googlenexus

Motorola wins Apple wireless patent fight
Mannheim, Germany

Fri Dec 9, 4:25 p.m. CET: A German court has ruled in Motorola Mobility's favor in a patents dispute with Apple.

The Android smartphone maker had complained that Apple failed to license one of its wireless intellectual properties. Apple uses the technology in its iPhones and 3G iPads.

Although this may not be the final ruling in the case, Motorola could now demand Apple remove the feature from its devices or halt sales in Germany.

Investing in countries like China will become even more risky over the next few years as they are not disclosing their true balance sheets and continue to manipulate their stocks. I agree Google will not kill Facebook. It does not need to, only provide a competitive platform to Facebook.

As for Twitter, Facebook or Google Plus have the ability to add the same functionality to their products and kill Twitter.

Decaptcha was able to decode 66 percent of the Captchas used by Visa's Authorize.net payment site, 70 percent of Blizzard Entertainment's Captchas -- the company's games include World of Warcraft and Diablo -- and 25 percent of Wikipedia's.

The percentage of decoding success does not surprise me. I can't read them about a third of the time and have to try again.

I have owned numerous Android Phones to date. I have to say the OTA updates with bugs, pushed out late, or not at all are frustrating. But Apple also only produces one phone so it is easier than trying to update 100 Android phones requiring different drivers. I will being looking at the Next iPhone early 2012 with 4G if the Android makers don't start working harder to keep my phones up to date I may move to an iPhone.

NETFLIX LOSES OVER 800k SUBSCRIBERS

Due to the double customer-unfriendly actions of raising prices and attempted DVD split off, customers responded by leaving the company to the tune of 800,000 in 3 months (since there are now other options for live streaming services), and the loss of revenue irked Wall Street.

To us, the end-users, this response was extremely predictable. We already were unhappy about a price increase PLUS a larger hike to subscribe to both DVD and streaming services. Then announcing they were splitting off their original, core customers to another company and brand was added fuel. Netflix had a huge disconnect with its customers about all these changes, and it's easy to believe they thought they were so popular they could do no wrong placing their own goals ahead of their customer service.
