Probably the best guide you'll ever find to shooting the northern lights.
Buy it.
I did.

Seriously... Microstock photographers didn't see that something like this was coming? iStock folks didn't see that this was the destination of the path they chose?
People need to value their work at a reasonable level. If you don't value your work, many others won't value it either.

Anyone looked at the Google App for Google Images search? This new setup is beyond tolerable. Google actively encourage downloading images, without permission, without even sending the visitor to the original website. This is unbelievable.

Just looked over the new Google Images page - that's despicable. Google have no right whatsoever to reproduce copyrighted material completely like they are. They're effectively becoming an aggregate stock house of photos; driving traffic AWAY from websites, rather than toward them. I hope this changes promptly.

Hey Folks - for anyone taking photo tours, be sure to check your guide/tour leader is permitted with the requisite agency. This is just ONE example of countless photo tour leaders working without permits. ANYONE guiding in the Subway. Zion, is doing so illegally, form what I understand.

What dimensions do most folks here upload pictures to G+ at? 1048 wide? 750 wide? 900wide? I looked in the help settings and it doesn't seem to recommend a particular dimension for presentation. Is there a standard G+ width in their lightbox view, or is it totally window and monitor dependent?

Here's an idea:
let's buy christmas presents from small local businesses and self-employed people. For example: from the neighbour who sells online, the local crafts-person who makes jewellery, the girl who is a stunning florist, the local gift store, your friend who runs a shop, the local bakers who do handmade cakes, buns and chocolates or the guy who has a stall at the market, the guy who runs a cafe or saloon ;)
Let's make sure that the money goes to individual people and not to multinational companies. This way more local people will have a better christmas.
If you think this is a good suggestion, share or copy and paste it and spread it.
Support real people!
THANKS FOR READING

A quick polar bear video I shot earlier this month. What an awesome day that was we had up there. Sorry it's a little wobbly, I was giddy with excitement. Heading back October 2013, if anyone's interested.
Oh, and the soundtrack is a little jam I recorded (on guitar) years, and years ago, with a buddy of mine on bass. Hope you like the groove.
