Good day this is my entry to #landscapephotography  contest with the theem of Textures and Patterns in Nature.
Exposure  SS 1/200s  F/8 ISO 100   Software: Lightroom
Camera Nikon D800E Lens VR400mm 2.8G With VR on.
This photo was taken from about three miles away and croped out of the orignal image. The camera and lens were hand held with the VR on. This lens is new to me and I was practising how to hold it steddy. The shot was taken at 11:04 AM Feb 28 2013 near Rix Island  North British Colombia Coast Canada in the Gardner Canal.

Special Print Sale - Let's Help Jaime - PLEASE SHARE

As some of you know, our dear friend and a very talented photographer +Jaime Ibarra has been hurting in a big way ... together we can put him back together! 

Jaime needs an operation for an umbilical hernia El PRONTO! Like most creative artists he does not have health insurance & is too damn proud to ask for assistance. His friend +Gretchen Chappelle made a promise to him last year that she'd see to it we all chip in and get him sorted out. 

After getting evaluated by the doctor, it turns out Jaime needs $5,000 for his surgery. Around Christmas time we started collecting donations from photography community for that sum. We've made a good progress, but we're not there quite yet.
