This dolphinarium was set up by my buddy Dmitry, He also opened up a very impressive dolphinarium in Odessa . My new years resolution is to raise 7 mil for a aquarium and water park that also takes disabled children and teaches them to swim with dolphins.   If any any interested investors read this and would like more information, I'll shoot you over a prospectus. 

Here is a video about dolphin therapy for kids in Odessa, same trainers.

Ukrainian Zoo Welcomes Five Rare White Lion Cubs

The Yalta Zoo received a welcome surprise when two of their tan lions each produced an adorable litter of rare white babies. According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, these cuties aren't albino, but the result of a recessive gene that was present in both parents. All five of the cubs have been brought together to be raised by zookeepers at the Yalta Zoo. The staff says that all the darlings are healthy and are expected to grow into stunning adults. goo.gl/ehP8J

Ukrainian Students Develop Gloves
That Translate Sign Language Into Speech

Using gloves fitted with flex sensors, touch sensors, gyroscopes and accelerometers (as well as some solar cells to increase battery life) the EnableTalk team has built a system that can translate sign language into text and then into spoken words using a text-to-speech engine. The whole system then connects to a smartphone over Bluetooth.

Дивлюсь я ось це відео про канадійських українців, що +Павло Чуб виклав, та й думаю собі.
Зберегти свою національність на чужій землі фактично неможливо.
Ні, щось то лишиться, якісь там звичаї, традиції, обряди...
але то вже буде не те. Зовсім не те. Самі тільки спогади. і з кожним новим поколінням щоразу блідіші.
Нова реальність все одно затягне й засмокче, приведе у відповідність до своїх реалій.
Коротше, українцем можна бути тільки в Україні. Німцем у Німеччині, турком у Туреччині. А вКанаді ти канадець, та усе.

Enver İzmaylov

Is a prominent Crimean Tatar folk and jazz musician (guitarist). Enver does not pluck the strings, but uses jazz tapping - an original technique of electric guitar playing when a musician plays with both hands on the neck by tapping on the strings with his finger-tips, as if it were a keyboard. He developed this technique to a climax simultaneously with, but not knowing of Stanley Jordan. Emmett Chapman developed a similar technique in the late 1960s.İzmaylov's music is an original blend of mainstream jazz, Crimean Tatar, Turkish, Uzbek and Balkan folk music and classical music.

Gerd Ludwig's "Long Shadow of Chernobyl" project

Internationally-renowned photojournalist Gerd Ludwig has spent years documenting the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. In 1986, errors at the plant in Ukraine led to an explosion that ultimately caused over a quarter of a million people to permanently evacuate their homes to escape the radiation and radioactive fallout. Over the course of several trips to the site and the region for National Geographic Magazine in 1993, 2005, and 2011, Ludwig has amassed a documentary record of a people and a place irreparably altered by a tragic accident. His 2011 trip was partially funded by a Kickstarter campaign. Now Ludwig has released an iPad app with over 150 photographs, video, and interactive panoramas. This photo was taken a couple of years ago, but sat on my HD. I felt it had potential, but I didn't have the knowledge to get the look I wanted. I revisited this in 2011 with new knowledge and new techniques and got the look I had waited so long for.

Bandura

(Ukrainian: банду́ра) refers to a Ukrainian plucked string folk instrument. It combines elements of a box zither and lute, as well as its lute-like predecessor, the kobza. It typically has 30 to 68 strings.The term is also occasionally used when referring to a number of other Eastern European string instruments such as the hurdy gurdy and the 5 string guitar (commonly referred to by the diminutive bandurka).Musicians who play the bandura are referred to as bandurists. Some traditional bandura players, often blind, were referred to as kobzars.
