Please sign and share this petition to get the word around that users are not happy with what EA is doing and they are losing money because of it.

When I, And millions of other people, buy a game that has a single-player experience. We expect it to work regardless of our connectivity to the internet, or quality of our connection. EA has made this impossible, so many people with an unstable connection will not even be able to play the game in the first place, let alone anyone who wants to play on the go/with no internet connection.

This petition is to let Electronic Arts (EA) know that they have lost several thousand customers because of their always-on DRM requirement in the new SimCity game.

Even though it is a mainly single-player game, users are required to be online at all times in order to play. Such an idea is ludicrous in a single player game and... more »

Check out this awesome new thing!

So, the creators of this site have been super awesome enough to give me 50 Beta invites to give out to the community. It's still in the beginning stages of the project, so some major features are still rolling out.

Right now, you can add your dogs (all of them!) and a page will be set up for them with a gorgeous, full-screen image of them to go with it. This page has their stats, name, and breed on it along with all of their humans.

Dogs are included in their breed's "pack", which is like a lookbook for all the gorgeous puppies of that breed. In the future, breed packs will have a newsletter distributed to the humans in them.

So, how do you score one of these super-exclusive, awesome, limited edition, brand-spankin-new, beta invites? Drop your name down below, along with your dog's breed and... more »

- Annually, roughly 585,000 bites require medical attention.

- More than 60% of severe injuries and 85% of fatalities occur in children under 12.

- In a 1992 study in Palm Beach, FL it was found that German Shepherds (13.5%), Labrador Retrievers (7.6%) , and Chow Chows -(7.2%) delivered the most bites.

- In the same study, Cocker Spaniels delivered 2.6% of all reported bites, but 23.6% of those bites were sever enough to require medical attention.

- Only 13.8% of German Shepherd bites were considered "severe".

- The same set of statistics from 1986 - 1989 showed that on average 25% of Golden Retriever bites were "severe".

There is not enough money to fund law enforcement in Oregon, so police are only responding to emergencies from 9am to 6pm on weekdays.

Imagine dialing 911 and the voice on the other hand says: Sorry. Due to budget cuts, no one can help you. Well, that's the reality for tens of thousands of people in rural Oregon. Many counties in the state have cut public safety budgets due to the loss of vital timber payments. That's money from the federal government paid to counties with large national forests - in other words, land that can't be taxed.

Even though it is a mainly single-player game, users are required to be online at all times in order to play. Such an idea is ludicrous in a single player game and makes it impossible for many users to even consider playing because they can't be connected to the internet 100% of the time.

Those who did decide to buy it are already experiencing issues with the always-on DRM because EA's servers are unreliable, preventing them from playing the game that they have already paid for. ___

A little less than two years ago, when Internet access was cut off in Egypt, we worked with Twitter to launch Speak2Tweet, giving the ability for anyone to tweet using just a voice connection.

In the last day, Internet access has been completely cut off in Syria. Unfortunately we are hearing reports that mobile phones and landlines aren’t working properly either. But those who might be lucky enough to have a voice connection can still use Speak2Tweet by simply leaving a voicemail on one of these international phone numbers (+90 212 339 1447 or +30 21 1 198 2716 or +39 06 62207294 or +1 650 419 4196), and the service will tweet the message. No Internet connection is required, and people can listen to the messages by dialing the same phone numbers or going to twitter.com/speak2tweet.

Makers of The Union have posted the entire film on YouTube in hopes that more people will view it and be able to learn from its message

"The Union crew has decided to place a high quality version of The Union on-line for those who are unable to afford the film, as it is our belief that everyone should have the right to view it regardless of their financial situation. For those who would like to support the film, we have provided the link below to give the ability to do so. We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has stood behind the movie and its message, whether through purchasing a copy, sharing with friends, creating blogs or just commenting on Youtube. We are truly indebted to you all!"
