Jedi Academy (Single Player Linux Port).
Here we go again. This time it's a completely playable Jedi Academy and it is better tested than Outcast was. I played at least half of the game.
I guess there was 4 days of porting and 2 days of gaming (not all day long of course).

A lot of Outcast porting code could be used for this version, so I was a lot faster this time around.

Binary

If you just want to play the game without compiling anything, the binary files are located here: "code/Release/".
The binary files are not build or tested to run on every Linux system, but they should work on Ubuntu 12.10.
I just wanted to add a little short cut.

oh, how I would so love having one of these, it's incredibly practical! (it has some cons as well, but I don't mind about them right now)

On the road back from Milford Sound, +Trey Ratcliff and I pulled over to take some star shots. This one was interrupted by an on-coming vehicle which created this crazy eye in the sky effect. That's not photoshop, it's a lens flare that appeared in camera. I don't think I could recreate it if I tried, kinda cool!

I haven't bothered to mention the whole sad Aaron Swartz saga, because it's been covered elsewhere. 

But having the involved US attorney then basically lie about it all in a very public statement is something that I find particularly offensive. Compare these two statements - one from July 2011, one from yesterday, and tell me Carmen Ortiz isn't lying..

Yesterday (as reported by the Wall Street Journal and elsewhere):

 "At no time did this office ever seek – or ever tell Mr. Swartz’s attorneys that it intended to seek – maximum penalties under the law."

And July 2011 (as posted by justice.gov itself):

 "SWARTZ faces up to 35 years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, restitution, forfeiture and a fine of up to $1 million"

Sometimes people ask us: "Hey, where's the Android port of GIMP?". While we don't think that a direct port would make much sense (and don't have the manpower for that anyway), there certainly are ways to make use of both GIMP and Android. And here's one of them.

The gimpusers.com team created an Android app that makes it possible to use an Android-powered tablet or phone as a graphic tablet over WiFi. Pressure sensitivity works, as tested with Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy S2. You'll also need an X.org driver, so this is Linux-only for now.

Ubuntu Phone no necesita presentación. A estas alturas todo el mundo ha visto el vídeo del sistema operativo para móviles de Canonical funcionando en un Galaxy Nexus en CES. Sin embargo, Plasma Active y Sailfish tal vez si necesiten un poco más de explicación.

Plamas Active es un esfuerzo comunitario por crear una interfaz gráfica para dispositivos móviles basada en las tecnologías del escritorio KDE (conocido como Plasma). Ya existen versiones funcionales del sistema implementados en diferentes dispositivos.
