Gasoline prices per gallon in Denver on Sunday were 13 cents higher than the national average as a result of prices that rose more than 17 cents during the past week.

Highest reported staff sex assault rate in U.S.

A study released Thursday morning revealed that 10.7 percent of the prison's 160 inmates claim they have been sexually abused by staff, the highest rate in the U.S. By comparison, no inmates at Jefferson County or Park County jails reported sexual assaults.

Temperatures in northeastern Colorado are above norms Tuesday as Denver tied a record high for the day. The temperature at DIA climbed to 87 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The record of 87 degrees was set in 1996.

Hemp is genetically related to marijuana but contains little or no THC, the psychoactive substance in the marijuana.
