This game is so much fun!!
"Delver is a first person action roguelike in development for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android devices."
I just discovered it (thanks to webcomic Owl Turd) and I can't stop playing it. It's super simple to pick up, has a great soundtrack, looks like a Minecraft FPS, and is only five bucks.

Thaw a handful of frozen blueberries for a minute in the microwave. Add a teaspoon or two or more of Greek yogurt – it's 2 to 4 times thicker than regular yogurt – and there you go.
I like tart. If you like sweet, they found that artificial sweeteners actually make vitamins and things stronger, while sugar makes the weaker.. So if you want it sweeter, this is a good case for fake sugar.
You see, instead of fighting high blood sugar, the good things in the blueberries and yogurt end up fighting with the sugar that you just added instead.
But I stay out of all that and eat it tart.
This is a picture of my midnight snack.

The key to a scientific mindset:
You have to invent your own problems.
Then you have to solve them.
Wonder and curiosity and willingness to really try to understand something and figure it out: That's a scientific mindset. That's an active mind. That's a person, when bored, looks for a problem to solve rather than say "poor me".

O_O I love stuff like this. They did brain scans of people while they were doing Freestyle Rap, one of the most free-flowing creative exercises you can do, along with composing music, painting a painting, writing train-of-thought... and some scientists were smart enough to do this. Thumbs up Scientists - good creative thinking :)

Well Hot Damn, Call me Mr. Creative - 100% Do You Have the Skills You Need to Express Your Creativity?

Thanks for taking the ECCI! Your scores, which are listed below, are an indication of the level of competency you currently have in 4 different skill areas that are important for the expression of creativity. Your Total Score reflects your overall skill level. While it's not necessary that you be adept in all of these areas, the stronger your skills, the more creativity you are likely to express. The good news is that all of these competencies are trainable; that is, there are books you can read, seminars you can attend, and videos you can view that will improve your abilities in each and every area. HUMAN EXPERIMENT Try to read the names go by and see how long you can stand it. Describe how your heart starts to feel and your mind. Does your heart start beating faster? Do you relax or feel tense?
NOTE: TO FIND YOUR NAME, SCROLL AROUND 'UNTIL YOU GET CLOSE TO YOUR NAME. THEN USE THE LEFT AND RIGHT ARROW KEYS TO GO FRAME BY FRAME TO GET EXACTLY TO YOUR NAME
Try to make music in your mind as you watch and listen. You may find new music starting to appear in your mind that never appeared before.

I don't know how I ended up on this video. But, what made my mind blown, is when I looked at the date that he made it. He started and finished on my birthday. He gave me a birthday present three years in a row. Without even knowing it. If anybody wants to do a picture each day film like this, that would be awesome.

Just dawned on me -- i love ALL colors but They have to be in this hue. I think they call it Jewel or gem tones but I'm not sure.
One more bit of trivia: I just noticed that there is a stone that is this color. Lapis lazuli. It's real. Not just Minecraft.

Another Ultramarine Blue. Yup. Now I can finally answer that question, "Hey Ken? What's your favorite color?"
Ultramarine Blue, my friend.
Ultramarine Blue.
(ps - I used to answer "Electric Blue" 'til I found out that wasn't a real color. This one is even on the scientific view of the light spectrum! Yay Science. I <3 you again).

Two awesome sites:: http://dig.ccmixter.org/music_for_film_and_video - they have other types too. The music is completely free to use for anything, so if you make videos and worry about copyright and stuff, this will work for you.
And....
http://www.freesound.org/ - where you can use and share SOUND CLIPS for free, no copyright, none of that stuff.
This one is exciting to me because I have ALL THIS MUSIC but I don't wanna perform any of it, or mix songs and crap, but I want my stupid talent to be useful for something. So at least I can upload the little musical bits and maybe someone can mix it into their songs or whatever.
I finally found a reason to bother splitting my music up into clips. I could never do it for myself - the editing process is just too boring for me. Same reason I can't write music, just make it. "wiriting down&... more »

I'm listening to a .. ahem.. cassette tape I made of electronic music from 2002... it's got like a hundred or so tiny music ideas - I don't even know what the heck that's called... just bits and pieces... one after another... and, well, I kinda mostly stopped trying after that 'cause I realized - I can't edit for shit.
I don't edit what I do in music.
I don't edit what I write.
But writing you can see all at once.
Music is transitory - your brain can only physically remember in about a 2 second stream... you can chain them together but it's all 2 second chunks all linked together...
Anyway...
I wish I knew someone I could send musical stuff too and they could sit there and break them up into logical "musical ideas" - chop it up, give each of them names and get it back to me.
But I have... more »

Everything is music.
The squeak of a old door hinge.
The sound of your computer fan whirring.
All is auditory poetry.
There is music in all things. There is music in the things we cannot hear.
The spinning of the planets.
The spinning of the galaxies.
Even the start of the Universe is given a sound - the Big Bang,
The quantum tiny things that pop in and out of existence, perhaps going to and fro from a higher dimension from ours, or perhaps simply shy and resistant to being overly observed, have some of the most beautiful music.
People make music in their interactions and in their solitude.
But perhaps the greatest music of all is that of the living mind - the interconnections of all things that are known and have ever been known and will ever be known, somewhere existed, exists or will exist and lived, living or ... more »

Starch and Fat
I was taking pot pies out of the oven and wondered, "Why does pie taste so good?"
Flour - Wheat (Starch) and Crisco / Lard (Fat)
Buttered toast in the morning?
Wheat (Starch) and Butter (Fat).
French Fries?
Potatoes (Starch) and Peanut Oil (Fat)
All the good stuff.
Starch and Fat - or more specifically..
Carbs + Fat. :) (think: Cookies!)

Fastest piano hitting in the world? Kenneth Udut?
Tonight, i was investigating to see if I have a "natural tempo" on the piano. I hate metronomes, so I never worked with them. I always made the piano teachers keep them off. But for science, I'll do anything.
So, after several failed techniques (the metronome kept interfering with my playing speed and CHANGING IT - the act of watching changes the behavior) - I figured out a "sampling technique":
I'd play, get a rhythmic speed going that 'felt natural" and would then adjust the metronome, TURN IT ON for just a few seconds. When it wouldn't match, I'd quickly turn it off before it destroyed my tempo.
I kept going up. From 120 to 125, to 130, 150, 178, 210...
finally I ended up at 250 which started matching up.
After more experiments back and fort... more »

I'm posting it here in case it helps someone now or in the future - Google archives everything - and also for my own future retrieval of these ideas, which seem selfish to print out and keep locked away in some private folder somewhere, to die.
A letter I wrote to this guy https://www.princeton.edu/neuroscience/people/display_person.xml?netid=dwtank&display=Faculty whose idea about feedback loops might help me in my understanding of how you get memories or ideas from long term memory back into short term memory. He came up when I searched for: feedback loops balance circuits brain 'cause I wanted to know if there was an electrical explanation for feedback loops. (I don't think electricity explains it all - a neat idea called "Soliton model" in neuroscience "feels" closer to true- helps explain how anthestitics work, which is a mystery right now... more »

caffeine has been found to enhance both working memory and short-term storage memory. A study published in the August 2007 issue of "Neurology" showed that elderly women who drank three cups of coffee or more a day had less decline in both working and storage memory compared to controls. A more recent, study published in the July 2009 issue of "Journal of Alzheimer's Disease," showed that caffeine can reverse the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease in aging mice. The researchers found that when the mice were given caffeine that corresponded to about five cups of coffee a day, the initial signs of cognitive impairment were reversed.

Want to feel completely free for a moment?
Before you leave your bedroom, When Getting dressed, put on everything, shirt, undies, socks and shoes - shoes being most important.
Just not your pants.
Stand up.
Walk around your room for a minute..
You'll feel free. :)
Now... Before you leave your room...
You might want to put some pants on.
The neighbors .. Kids.. Parents.. Siblings... In laws... Sigh.
Unless you're lucky. And don't have to add pants or shorts to your layers of clothing.
In which case, I'm jealous.
Ken, who just did all that by accident... But realizes alas, boxers are just not enough for the world to bear. Sigh.

Any great discovery should appear to be so obvious that you feel like you've always known it.
And any great idea, seems like it's always been around. And ideas of the past, suddenly seem to have been saying this all along when in fact, they did not.

Problems with short term memory, difficulty remembering instructions, organizing one's own time and remembering deadlines increased propensity to lose things or problems carrying out tasks that require remembering several steps in sequence....
Aversion to sudden noises, oversensivity to some stumli and undersensitivity to others...
Difficulty moderating the amount of sensory information that their body is constantly sending them, which makes them prone to panic attack.
Difficulty planning movements, hand aching while writing or other fine motor skills, poor timing, poor balance, difficulty combining movements into controlled sequences, difficulty remembering the next movement of a sequence, problems with spatial awareness (proprioception), knocking things over/bumping into people, difficulty determining l... more »

There's no way to know who is online or not!
That's a minus I really hope they fix soon. Knowing who is online right now is kinda important.
