Abandoned Ship is a Floating Forest
I came across this interesting ship/floating forest tonight and have to share with you guys...so interesting. Anyone want to go to Australia for a photo trip now?

The SS Ayrfield (originally launched as SS Corrimal), was a collier ship built in England in 1911 and used by the Commonwealth Government during World War II to transport supplies to American troops in the Pacific. It was sold in 1950 and operated as a collier on the sixty-miler run between Newcastle and Sydney, until 1972 when the ship’s registration was canceled and it was sent to its final resting place, Homebush Bay. Before the 2000 Olympic Games, this place was a ship breaking zone, and the dozens of shipwrecks that still remain here are a constant reminder of its history. It is so hot in Toronto now...sadly I have no clue how to turn on the air conditioner sigh. I cannot sleep with out my thick blanket, this will be an interesting night. I miss cool weather.10-15 C is just perfect, I can rock my blazer collection and sleep at night....20+ is way too hot...

It is hard to believe that I came from a tropical country. The heat drives me crazy.

Just had instant noodles....not sure why but I was craving for some.Just learned something new, you can add peanut butter to your noodles. I know it sounds weird but it tastes good.

The Uberization of everything continues with MyTime

If you haven't used Uber yet in a big city to get a ride somewhere you are missing out. It shows you where the rides are, and is simply a better way to get a ride around town (and it has been copied by a ton of competitors).

But here's MyTime. What does this do? Brings that same transparent mobile access that Uber has to appointments. 

Ethan Anderson won Techcrunch's big award a few years back when he ran Red Beacon and sold that to Home Depot. So, he's worth watching in this space.

This is one of the last pay phone. It made me think. Maybe my children will only see a payphone in a museum. A lot of things have changed.

A few days ago my sister came to me. She said: "Mimi, I don't know how we are going raise our kids. That sounds wrong, but you know what I mean.  Have you seen the kids today they get tattoos, piercings, stretching their ears. We grew up in the 90s when it wasn't popular. Mimi I don't know what to do. Parenting will be so hard" It is funny because the girl is only 15 and she was born at the end of the 90s.

A lot of things have changed. Some for good, some for bad. It can be a scary world and I will miss a lot of things from the past....like this pay phone.

This is my tie collection. from left to right: Oscar de la Renta,Italo Ferretti,  Lanvin, Avanzata for Harry Rosen. I just bought the Lanvin tie yesterday. It was love at first sight. that print is beyond beautiful.  

If you don't believe in love at first sight, you don't know where to shop.

Lately, I go back to menswear inspired clothes. Maybe because I am in the boys club and trying to feed in or  +Rose Le   influenced me with her adorable Dior vest :P. Just got 3 new pair of pants, you will see me wear them often.  Dress pants, silk blouse, vest and blazer and of course high heels :) 

Yesterday I spent an hour  trying to tie the tie...i know the basic knot but I wanted something fancy...didn't turn out good. Now I will never make fun of a guy who can't tie his tie anymore...it is hard especially if you wan't a fancy knot.

I took this photo on my way to 5th floor to charge my phone on Friday (thanks Laura Miller). The guys at Viafoura Inc. are so lucky to have this great view. But to be honest if this is my view I won't be able to work. It is hard ignoring a beauty.

Maybe architecture is my great love. We always love what we cannot get. I feel like the energy from the buildings is enough to feed me. 

To be honest, I can just drink wine and chat about buildings all day long. Maybe I should take my camera and go on a photo walk around downtown.

"One Today" Charity App by Google
If you put off donating to charity because you're afraid your contribution is too little to make a difference, check out this project.  Google teamed up with a network of non-profit organizations and created an app to allow people to donate $1 to any of them any day.  

You can challenge your friends to donate by offer to match their donations too.  Since we're all social network centric, this is an awesome idea for someone to make a significant difference in others' lives.  I just donated $11 to a charity because 10 of my social network friends offered to match $1 if I donate.

It's currently on pilot and only available on Android.  Just search for "One Today by Google" in Google Play app store.  It should be on iOS eventually.

Growing up being Asian in a Western world is not easy. Society tells you one thing, your community will tell you something else. I was so confused because outside my community, people think I am a little girl who doesn't eat anything to be able to wear size 0 dress (People I eat more than you) ....on the other side when I am with Asians people, they ask me why I look so fat lately...Who is right?

The paper cylinders that hold the crackers have been graphically treated as cartoon heads. The fronts of the cartons have hairlines, eyes and noses, and mouths covered by the red label that bears the biscuits' logo. Interestingly, you don't open Bla-Bla Cookies packaging from the round flap on top, but rather by tearing the label away. This opens the mouth of the characters to reveal gobs full of food."

1. Lately I rarely wear my 5 inches heels anymore...the flats and low heels are getting a lot of love

2. I debated if i should keep my bob or grow my hair and have classic updo.

3. I just cleaned my closet and put away a big giant box of clothes because....they show way too much skin.

4. I told a kid that I am old enough to be his mother...the interesting fact is I am like a year older than him.

Google+ dominates poll despite stacked deck!

Lifehacker is running a poll, asking "What’s Your Social Network of Choice?"

But they give Facebook and Twitter an unfair advantage: At the bottom are "Like" buttons for Facebook and Twitter. They're giving a tool to virally promote the poll on two of the social networks, but not the others. As a result, Facebook and Twitter have WAY more votes than Linkedin, Pinterest, MySpace and Instagram.

But Google+ is dominating the poll anyway, with (at the time I write this) twice as many votes as Facebook.

That's not enough.

Since Lifehacker decided to favor Facebook and Twitter, let's send them some Google+ love in the form of MASSIVE votes for Google+:

Had a great night. Hosted a twitter party for a client and we trended #1 & #2 in canada :D (feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I am not trendsmap expert)

Hosting a twitter chat is easy but hosting a trending twitter chat is not. To make it trend is hard but to host it is even harder. People have no clue how much work  we put into it. Everything was planned. 

It is sad when people think it is just luck.

Good morning my lovely friends :) 
I am writing a post about How to work 16 hours a day and still have a life. It is all about priority. Just like my clothes, I don't have a lot (to give you an idea, i have less clothes than everyone at my company and I work in tech)  but I have classic and high quality clothes. They last me forever and people hardly notice that I repeat my clothes every week. And I don't think I dress too horrible. Figure out what are the most important things in your life and focus on them.

To remember the talented designer, I decided to wear  Lilly Pulitzer today.  It still looks so death outside :( I wish there was more sun and the grass was greener. She was a great woman.

What do you think about my hair? Like it or hate it. Debating if I should have his hairdo everyday. It is time consuming ( not a very startup-friendly hair style).

Change your Google Calendar settings (and Save the settings) so that you are not bugged by Spammy Event notifications.

These settings I show here should be the defaults but they are not... I still love the Events tool, just an oversight by Google IMO.
