Getting way to excited for my trip to Hawaii in June. I even decided to rent a water housing from +Hawaii Photo Rental for 6 days, to make things a bit more interesting and experiment with a different type of photography. Luckily I will have the guidance from +Cole Yamane who is an expert with the surf side of things :)

SF Auto Awesome
I can't figure it out. I will add 50 photo and it seems the GIF is only picking 5 to 10. Yesterday with my cop GIF, I uploaded 50 and it made 3 or 4 separate GIFs, luckily it kept the cop one I wanted, in a group that worked well enough. Still wish this used all 50 so you could see more lights going off and on in the tower. I wish there was a way to edit the GIF or a popup that lets you choose, then its not auto I guess. But something. Maybe even something or a notification letting you know its making it, or making more. Cause I wait around and keep refreshing to see if it made it.

The Veins Into The City
Last night I ventured into one of my favorite spots to see if I could finally get a good sunset from this location. I was about another 50 feet down for sunset and I could see the clouds over alcatraz start blowing up, some "epic" clouds and color. started forming. But unfortunately, I was blocked by this dang Bridge and the overgrown trees! Maybe I should have stayed up higher for the above view. I need to clone myself so I can be in more places at once :)

After sunset I came up to this spot to get this close view I have always wanted to get. Once I get a part back for my track I think this spot will be perfect! I still did timelapse though.

This is a 30 second shot with the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II. I have always shot with the 17-40mm and have never liked the star bursts it created. This proves why I got the 16-35, just look atthose l... more »

"Midnight Majesty"

Back from another nighttime trip on the Icefields Parkway. Fantastic night out with stars by the millions, warm temperatures and very little wind.

Here's the first image, showing Howse Peak and Mount Chephren under star-filled skies. Waterfowl Lakes, Banff National Park.

Stretch
Last night I started timelapsing at sunset on Corona Heights. Then I headed down here to shoot a timelapse in the middle of the street. I kept wait for a cop to tell me to move on but I got lucky. I even had one at the light next to me with the window open and didn't say a word for 2 minutes. I will post a GIF of that soon. Here a 1.6 second shot from my lapse. Off to shoot another 150GB or so, -Enjoy

 Full Moon Rise Auto Motion
I am sure I have gained a few #GIFhaters  :) But why have a static image when you can show motion as well. Maybe it's just cat GIFs that get to people, who knows. But they will have to embrace it cause google+ embraced it. Here is one from a few months back.

AWESOME

So I really wanted to know what our limit is, how many photos? So I tested it with 49 photos and it seems to be using all of them. THIS is totally awesome.

I love how Google+ displays vertical images. This shot is hardly even worth posting on Facebook due to how it will be cropped out of context on my wall.

+Barry Blanchard and I were talking yesterday about how cool it would be to be able to highlight photos on our own stream! Verticals look awesome, but now horizontals are a bit lonely and small. On the main stream there are large highlighted photos, btw does anyone know how that works or picks that certain photo to be large? 

Just my morning cup of caffeine !

Golden Gate Lenticulars
Yesterday San Francisco had some awesome Lenticular clouds all over the place, it was a gold mine. As it was my last night of homework I knew I should have stayed in, but I couldn't resist a little brake. So I rushed to my car and raced across the bridge to see if Hawk Hill would be any good. Nope, I could already see the fog taking over, so I turned around and went here. Further to the right the Lenticular clouds were even crazier, but this was really my only option.  So I set up both my cameras and timelapsed away! Then the fog took over, first time I wish that had not happend.

I knew if I could get above the fog, the sunset would be amazing, but I didn't have much luck. So I raced over to Twin Peaks to only wait in the fog and see that it wasn't going to get low enough. Guess it's time to head home :( But just as I got home I couldsee a b... more »

Baker Cliffs
Well, after spending 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post this to my Seascape album, I gave up and will just upload to from the status box. Guess it doesn't really matter, most photos end up either in their own album that is created per photo and date, or in a Photos from Posts album. I use to just hover over the photos button on the left and would add a photo to an existing album, easy! Not so much anymore, unless Im really missing something obvious! 

I would also love to see the ability to organize my albums, not just whats in an album but the order of my albums. You can organize whats within and they give you 3 options. Order by take taken, name or reverse. I asked a long time ago if they woudl add by date uploaded or maybe that is what reverse is trying to do. But I also notice with reverse is I have to do that every time a photo is added,why can&... more »

I think I will actually, finally look at the main stream on Google+ now. It's finally interesting and manageable, not as stressful on my brain :) 

A few things things that need fixing or are missing

1) It is really difficult to see who has shared your photos now, so when you look at activity on a post/photo its one big list of +1's, comments and shares. I like how they use to have that in separate columns. 

2) Photo views are gone, how sad :( 

3) There might be more as I use it more, but so far I am pretty impressed.

City of Fog
The sunset I saw last night must have been the most epic sunset I have ever seen. To top off all the color, we had low fog and high clouds. I can't tell you how many times I have dreamed of this shot. There was too much color! I ran into +David Yu up there who I am sure will be posting some epicness later.
