How do people deal with lucid nightmares?, you know its a dream, that's whats happening is not real, but it is a nightmare, fights, being hunted, falling all that crazy stuff

Sofar I have to either let it run it's course, 
Or I can try and force myself awake, sometimes not the easiest thing and at times even impossible

Generally I find you can't change a nightmare from anything but a nightmare, it just follows and adapts to the world/setting you are in, 

Usually the dreams with individuals I can wake up from, but the dreams of falling I can't.

If I am forced to lay sleep through the entire I try to add in something funny, still a nightmare but harder to take serious when its something meant to be funny, shame I haven't found a way to turning the falling dreams into something funny, but they don't happen that often, usually endswith a ... more »

War of the Overworld is available on steam..I want it but overall dungeon games have been a disappointment, I still get more enjoyment playing Dungeon Keeper 2

The game still is heavily in testing from the sounds of it, so any reviews, is it worth the $22 or should I wait for it be developed further..

Back from my holiday, nice place, glad to be home, apart from a stomach ache

Had limited internet access, only using my phone, accommodation needs to start being a bit more open with its internet, none of the places I stayed it was worth using their internet.

Google maps was allot better then the apple ones, and Siri was interesting, but in the end fairly useless.

Arrived in Devonport off the Spirit of Tasmania II, drove to Hobart through Launceston, stayed in Hobart 2 days, drove up the east coast, stayed a night at Bicheno, then to Launceston and stayed 3 nights, then back to Devonport for the trip back, the ride back was allot more bumpier, but arrived in one piece.

Overall the weather in Tasmania was quiet warm, I took plenty of warm clothes, but it wasn't needed, Melbourne had worse weather (back now and its cold and raining.) But I do know Tasmaniacan... more »

Going away for a week, exploring Tasmania., be weird I haven't gone without the internet for awhile now..and my warframe login bonus will be dust T_T

Of course I am taking my iPhone, iPad, Laptop, PSP so ill hardly be leaving technology behind

But I don't plan on spending much time on it, so wont be that big of a impact.

Am taking the first Game of Thrones novel, I haven't read it yet, or watched the show, so maybe ill come back a convert.

Cool, got access to a closed beta for a game that sounded interesting  but I didn't want to pay the price for guaranteed access.

Now to be concerned  if its to good, I wont want to go on my holiday next week, and if its bad ill be depressed that noone can produce good mmos anymore.

So its the end of April and what do I have? well its not 25k words so Camp Nano was a failure for me.

So what went wrong, other then I am lazy.
Idea's I had them but I felt there was too many holes in them and instead of writing them down I just thought about them.

Support: Camp nano had the groups your meant to encourage each other but right of 2 people that never got off 0..I checked and eventually seeing nothing else being done it didn't encourage me to either.

Also on that topic during November there was a irc of other Melbourne people who where participating..especially when I didn't feel like writing I went into that channel..I don't know how much writing they got done, but for me it felt like I am in a writing channel..I should be writing.

Game Dev Tycoon, cute game, I tried the lite version since I was wary of buying it, even with its price..and pirating a copy would not have helped :)

For my last game I wanted to game to be on the handheld, but I couldn't afford licensing and the game, with everything having about equal market share it made sense to go with the cheaper option.
I had just researched Ninja topic, and who doesn't like a ninja game.

and I had success, MooMoo a ninja action game outstrip all other games in sales, with a average review of 9.75 grossing 2.6m in profit, if it wasn't the lite version id have my own office now :)

So maybe I will buy a copy, game seems interesting enough..names are hard, all the games had animal noises since they are easy..

Watched The Man From Earth..
Not a bad movie, not one I would normally watch, but I enjoyed it, the concept of immorality and living through history is always interesting..

Although 10,000 years, Unless your actually immortal and not just really old. I can't see someone surviving that long, just with the chance of a freak accident happening, Ive had a few close misses and I am only 31..

The account activity report for google is interesting..
Approx I sent 4 emails a month.
500 searches
and watch 160 youtube vidoes.
my emails received have gone up from an average of 350 to 450 this month

Did feel a little overwhelmed with emails, maybe time to unsubscribe from some mailing lists.

The funding goal is a bit low, which does seem a bit sus, its also flexiable, so they dont need to meet their goal.

They should also get a better speaker for the clip, the guy sounds a bit bored.

Behind on my novel, sucks when it happens because then you get stuck don't write for a day, then another, suddenly its end of the month and your goal is near unreachable.

Lucky the end of the month is still far away, so time to turn things around.

But I had a possible good idea, going to sleep on it first..but if it still sounds good tomorrow I think I can make my word count substantially higher over the weekend..

1672/25000 not much progress today, ran out of time, as it is its nearly 1am and I really should be in bed.

Idea from yesterday has moved on a little, I am not confident enough to say its novel material, more like short story..so maybe that's what it will be..

Is a bit of a shock again to be writing after November, and defiantly rusty, oh wells hopefully I can stick with it now and onward s..

As a note I am thinking of November, I might actually take my nano from last November and edit it to bits, I think after editing, I should still make the word count in brand new words, again we shall see, I wanted to step away from it to see if its good good when I go back, if its not..

Figured id try for 25k, its half the November goal, allot more manageable.

Kinda haven't decided where I'm going in April, I have a basis for an idea, but unlike my novel during nano which I felt excited to work on, even when I wanted it to burn.

This one I just don't think its right, but I can't work out why.

Completed the new tomb raider game..I must say I was quite surprised, ive been wary of these type of these puzzle adventure games, since I don't want to spend the afternoon making one difficult jump.

But I found the game enjoyable, the story was interesting, I hate wolves, a bit more stealth would have been nice, but I am getting use to 3rd person combat.

so overall I would recommend it..

Installing Bioshock now, another game ive never played the previous copies, and didn't have much intention of starting..but some people have recommended it and its gotten good reviews, so why not.

Tried Ruby recently for something different, expand the horizons etc..

Code's www.railsforzombies.org was quite entertaining and didn't have all the coding exercise errors ive seen on other training sites..

Overall I dislike the idea of the f2p, mostly because the upper spending level is as much as you want.
Subscriptions is a flat month fee and you get the game as is, of course you feel you need to play it each month to get your monies worth, but thats usually not a problem, 15$ isn't much

But this game has dragons in it..300 tamable dragons and a housing system, so maybe ill let the f2p argument slide at least until I try it.

Watching this game on an adult version of kickstarter, 2 days in and nearly 30k over the 10k target, for what essentially is a adult flash text adventure game.

Its interesting to watch, and im sure the creator will create a fun game, if his current game corruption of champions is anything to go by.

Oops, nearly fried my video card..started getting graphic artifacts yesterday, today the game crashed..had a look at the back vents and totally covered in dust.

Cleaned it out so hopefully it lives awhile longer, I can't afford to replace it if it stopped now.

Finished sc2 hots campaign..surprised I did it this quickly on hard. Overall it was good, but I did feel a little disappointed..

The base seemed less feature rich then the Terran campaign .it used a hero system, which a hero was detailed, but why not multiple?, it hinted around evolution, but I just feel they could have done so much more, tech trees for every unit etc..

I know its all only for the campaign, and sc2 biggest pull is the multiplayer, but it just felt lacking.

However I wouldn't let my comments put you off playing, it was still good, and I had the whole day of work to play it, still need 56% of achievements  and the whole world of 'ladder' play.

Hopefully with all the bad reviews, sim city gets cheap quick so I can play it..I haven't enjoyed sim city since the original so I can't justify paying full price for it, but once its reduced, maybe.

Mentioned this type of thing would happen to a colleague recently who was looking at getting them, mostly to scare them.
I look at my privacy different  so the effect wont be as pronounced for me, maybe ill start calling people by name since the glasses would prompt their name when you see them..that would be cool..

Starting the new HTML5 course at www.udacity.com 

Ive considered building a few personal websites over the time I've been on the net, but the lack of interactive options other then flash and java applets, scared me off, flash I didn't like the coding in flash and applets never got a good rap due to speed.

Hopefully after this course, I might be able to go back and revive some of my older ideas that I put off because reloading the page after every action just wasn't good enough.

Anyone have any good game related video subscriptions - Apart from ons focusing on  fps and minecraft (Like minecraft but not minecraft streams :)

Preferably no streams that like to have a webcam running somewhere on the screen..hate that.

For how smart Google is, YouTube referrals are a little disappointing..

This is what I would like to see on new consoles, considering they are looking at being always online..incremental downloads.

Imagine you buy a game online, it does an initial setup,say a couple of hundred meg, the opening movie and the first level..then while you play the game it downloads the rest in the background.

simple idea but good when you just brought a game, and then can face 10+ hours before you play it, PS3 version is out of date, store is out of date, install game, update game...frustrating when you just want to play and the biggest fail in my regards on the ps3.

Tiron and Blizzard are doing this with games, sure it doesn't match every situation, but ps3 solution of locking your console while it downloads a game, that doesn't seem to have any sort of resume function is just terrible (note from my exp the sony vita is nice to download from, they atleas... more »

I am liking the feature to tie all my accounts together  I understand people that don't want the loss of privacy, but for me I want the ease of use.

Saw and brought..no wonder im broke. but ive been waiting for a dungeon management game for ages and I like what Paradox has done with the Ardania games, i own them all, and I figured no time to start breaking that trend.

$20 released the 15th of Feb. (so a week of waiting, but it should tied me over until starcraft2 which is out next month)
