Standing under the noon-day sun in Barcelona, squinting... Made my skin look a bit harsher than I wish it were. I love the subtle improvements.

About 14 years ago, I got a bad cold, and my voice became hoarse. At the time I didn’t think much about it. But my voice never fully recovered. So I went to a doctor and was diagnosed with left vocal cord paralysis. This is a nerve problem that causes your left vocal cord to not move properly. Despite extensive examination, the doctors never identified a cause — though there was speculation of virus-based damage from my cold. It is quite common in cases like these that a definitive cause is not found.
While this condition never really affected me — other than having a slightly weaker voice than normal which some people think sounded a little funny — it naturally raised questions in my mind about my second vocal cord. But I was told that sequential paralysis of one vocal cord following another is extremely rare.
Fast forward to last summer, when the same pattern repeated itself... more »

It's time to decriminalize nature and legalize food.
A dairy farmer in Wisconsin is facing two and a half years in jail for selling raw milk.
Even the charge is legally false. The "buyers" of the milk were actually part of a "buyer's club" who bought shares in the cows.
But let's be honest: The dairy farmer's crime was offering people an alternative to the massive and politically powerful Wisconsin dairy industry.
The problem with raw milk production is that it cannot be industrialized. So it's not a product that giant companies can produce at scale. Therefore, they want it to be unsafe and illegal and they press government to make sure that happens.
How dangerous is raw milk? Between 1998 and 2011 there have been two fatalities nationwide. That's being used to justify the jailing of a farmer who... more »

What do you mean you don't know who they are? just check www.CIrcleCount.com and download their +Google Chrome extention otherwise the force will NOT be with your +Google+ posts

New Google+ Help Pages
It looks like Google+ has launched some new help pages. At least the design is new:
https://support.google.com/plus/
Side node:
The new design is responsive. You can check it out very easily by reducing the width of your browser.
edit:
This design isn't so new, but there is a new "embedded help center" like +Lee Jarratt mentioned in the comments:
http://www.googleplusdaily.com/2013/05/2-new-unannounced-improvements.html
Looks like we are not the only ones who want to help you better understand Google+ ;)

Language helps you unlock the door to new worlds and experiences. Starting today, you can now translate another five languages using Google Translate: Bosnian, Cebuano, Javanese, Hmong and Marathi, which combined are spoken by more than 183 million people around the globe. The addition of these languages means you can now translate 70+ languages with Google.
You can access Translate via the web at https://translate.google.com, on your Android (http://goo.gl/Z0Yxn) or iOS (http://goo.gl/fR6VI) device, or via Chrome and in Gmail. We're excited to reach the 70+ language milestone, and we look forward to continuing to add more languages.

Happy birthday to Saul Bass, American graphic designer and filmmaker who designed the title sequences of dozens of classic films, working with directors like Hitchcock, Scorsese and Kubrick. Can you recognize any of the references to Bass' work in our video doodle?

Grooming Your Google+ Circles in 4 Simple Steps
People who aren't on Google+ will trot out a variety of reasons why they are afraid to make the jump ...
1. Facebook is just fine.
2. G+ is a ghost town.
3. G+ is confusing, especially this Circle business.
(See "A Cheat Sheet for People Afraid of Google+" for more reasons: http://goo.gl/DfEKr)
While I can't relate to the first two reasons, however, I can relate to number three.
Circles are simple in their nature: add people to Circles based upon topic or relationship. Create one for close friends, family, co-workers, heavies, and so on.
It's fun at first. But eventually -- and it happens to all of us -- we run into Circle fatigue (http://goo.gl/pMrE4) because you are forced to decide upon each contact how they fit into your life.
