Petra
because the place is too narrow to get the shot right I decided to make a photo merge of 4 horizontal photos, and in 2 vertical layers, 8 shots together to be able to present it in it's full glory.
Because of the extreme heat it was done without tripod.

hi there,
My grandson Noah, young enthusiast photographer, 8 year, wants to make a picasa online gallery to expose his first totally self shot and processed images.
My problem is, I can't find how to create a totally new account on picasa ?
The problem is probably the fact I already have one for myself, and google brings me directly to my own account, without a visible link to create a new account.
All help to solve the problem is warmly welcomed
thanks a lot
piet

If ever you visit Bruges at the end of march, the beginage is a MUST because of the capet of narcissus creating an even more magic feeling of cosyness and "out of time place"

Any scientists or nature experts who can explain???
Strange ice and winter discovery.
As I am a nature lover, I have a pond in the garden, it brings a lot of extra life to discover, and I love lying in the grass in summer looking at this mini world.
But now , after 2 weeks bellow 0°C everything is melting, i discovered something I never experienced before, and never heard or read before.
About 10 cm (3,93 inch) under the superficial layer of ice on my pond, breaking the ice to let the gases from bellow escape, I found a second (thinner but still rather resistant too) layer of ice ... both being separated by a layer of water. And of course, under the lowest level of ice, again water.
Would be happy if someone could explain this mystery

Nobody can sing our land like the genial artist Jacques Brel did in his song "le plat pays"
avec le vent d'ouest qui vient s'écarteler ...

As many already heard from news and internet,
a young male (13 meter) sperm whale stranded on the Belgian coast in Heist yesterday. After some hours he died suffocating under his own weight.
Today between the tides he was sectioned in peaces to be removed as soon as possible for security reasons.
As I was free, and the poor animal died probably a natural death (not caused by human activity, I went to take some shots ... but need some more time to select and present them.
see you
