Late at night
when strangely all night creatures fled
I heard the sky weeping
and it tears spattered on the tin roof
As I lied on my bed
I listened to the noisome whisper
the night breeze brought news from afar
Though I was still on my bed
I was sure the sky was pitch black
As dark as my soul at that moment
The sound of the rain
and the sigh of the night breeze
like an echo of my heart
