The British artist Banksy has made a name for himself as a graffiti artist who's stealthily created provocative pieces around the world.

Now the L.A.-based auction house Julien's has announced that it's auctioning off one of his works — a piece called "Flower Girl" — which once graced the wall of a gas station on the corner of Beverly Boulevard and La Brea. Julien's estimates the piece will bring in a whole lot of cash. http://kp.cc/1a8SRnU

In a new study by researcher Dr. Hannes Schwandt, life satisfaction peaks at the average ages of 23 and 69. People become discontent mid-life because of disappointments at unfulfilled expectations. Often, young people are over-optimistic about their lives and become frustrated when reality proves to be less than ideal. However, when people get past these regrets and have lower expectations, people become more satisfied with their lives. http://kp.cc/1cky2oR

To become a U.S. citizen, all immigrants must pass a naturalization test.

But native-born residents do not need to pass the test. Which led us to wonder: How many existing citizens would pass the test if they had to? (It takes five years from the time an immigrant receives a green card — i.e. becomes a permanent legal resident — until he or she may apply to become a naturalized citizen.)

We've created a quiz, below, with sample questions of the type that appear on the actual naturalization test. Try it out and see if you'd pass. Let us know in the comments and be honest! #projectcitizen http://kp.cc/17TYA0T

News broke yesterday that James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano on the long-running HBO smash hit “The Sopranos,” died Wednesday in an emergency room in Rome, where he was vacationing.

Gandolfini joined us in the AirTalk studios on May 13, 2011, while he was in Los Angeles acting in “God of Carnage” at the Ahmanson Theater. Ten minutes into the interview, Larry turned the conversation to the character of Tony Soprano and what the character means to him now, four years after the show’s final episode, and Gandolfini’s answer reflected the complexity of his own character. http://kp.cc/105kCI4
