Brand Loyalty

Ford, all the way…just in case someone needed to know where my loyalties lie!

I’ve been a Ford fan since I started driving, despite my first car being my parents Plymouth Champ. I remember lusting after the four-eyed Mustangs when I started my Freshman year in high school, thinking that the few upper classmen with them were just so cool. A couple years later I walked out of the local Ford dealership with the keys to my own 1989 5.0 Mustang. What a day!

Our +Ford Motor Company 2002 Explorer performed flawlessly on our family vacation. An absolute dream to drive through the mountains of middle Tennessee.

Disliked that vehicle quite a lot when we bought it for my wife. It has delivered all of the "just right for us" value she promised.

I'd buy another one without hesitation.

The Eastern Sierra is home to some of the most rugged terrains in California, and I can confidently say that my Explorer handled them like a champ. I put the 'Terrain Management System' through the paces on a few off-road trails up those distant mountains -- the system does an excellent job of recognizing the terrain selection and adjusting the ride accordingly.

On this evening at Point Reyes National Seashore, I had been snapping pics of a Tule Elk herd through the window of my Explorer for close to two hours. After the elk had migrated down the hillside, I stepped out of the car to photograph the incredible sunset off the Pacific Ocean. Even more appealing than the sun setting on the ocean was the sunlight reflecting off of my Explorer.

Believe it or not, this photo was taken with my iPhone.
