When you're planning a sand and sun getaway, we know that having a hotel with beach access is a highly desirable feature. With the Amenities filter in Google Hotel Finder (google.com/hotels), it's easy to find a hotel with a prime beach location. Say that you're searching for hotels in Virginia Beach, VA. Clicking the Amenities button and selecting Beach access prompts the list and map results to update with relevant hotels. As you can see below, there are over 15 amenities listed, so it's easy to find a hotel that has beach access plus an outdoor pool, an onsite restaurant and air conditioning. Once you've found the perfect hotel, select it from the list on the left and click the red Booking button, where you can select the website where you'd like to book reservation.

Social is getting old; Facebook, Twitter and G+ attract baby-boomers
According to the GlobalWebIndex between Q2 2012 and Q1 2013 Twitter’s fastest growing age demographic was 55 to 64 year olds, registering an increase in active users of 79%.
Both Facebook’s and Google+’s fastest growing age demographic was 45 to 54 year olds, growing by 46% and 56% respectively.
The other driving force behind the popularity of the big three is mobile. Since Q1 2011, the number of people which access the internet via a mobile phone has increased by 60.3%.
The good news for G+ is that the percentage of active users independent of age is rising. A 100% rise in posts and 75% in photos means these new people are actively contributing content. A key to survival for the content-centered G+-.

Hangouts Remote Desktop: tech support with a personal touch
For those of you who play tech support for friends and family, there’s now a Hangouts app to make things easier -- powered by the same technology behind Chrome Remote Desktop.
Hangouts Remote Desktop lets you help others by controlling their computer remotely (with their permission, of course). And because you’re both in a Hangout, you can talk with and see each other during the session.
To get started, just start a Hangout and click View More Apps > Add Apps > Hangouts Remote Desktop.

Call up to five people from inside Hangouts
We recently made it easier to call someone from a Hangout (http://goo.gl/6vMiS), and starting today, you can have up to five telephone participants (instead of just two)! To give it a try, just click "+ Add Telephone" when inviting someone to your Hangout, then dial their number.

My two-week review of Google Glass: it all depends on the price
This week I gave five speeches while wearing it.
I passed through airports four times (two more in a couple of hours).
I let hundreds of people try my Google Glass.
I have barely taken it off since getting it other than to sleep.
Here's my review after having Google Glass for two weeks:
1. I will never live a day of my life from now on without it (or a competitor). It's that significant.
2. The success of this totally depends on price. Each audience I asked at the end of my presentations "who would buy this?" As the price got down to $200 literally every hand went up. At $500 a few hands went up. This was consistent, whether talking with students, or more mainstream, older audiences.
