The State of Surveillance
Last week Wednesday on +TWiT, +Leo Laporte and +Steve Gibson completely dissected and analysed all information available about #PRISM and other Internet surveillance systems employed by the #NSA .
Stephen "Tiberius" Gibson, Engineer, hacker and Explainer in Chief on Security Now revealed a great main details and very interesting perspectives about all of this craziness going on with #PRISM , #NSA , and touches some other three letter agencies as well. He also explains how Apple, +Google, Yahoo, and the other companies that are said to be a part of it, but denied any involvement, can actually not be directly involved, but the #NSA is still getting loads of data from them.

This Thursday the Minister for #Innovation and Information Technology of #SouthTyrol, Roberto Bizzo, will announce the strategy to introduce #FreeSoftware in the public bodies like into the public administration, the healthcare system and the municipality union of South Tyrol, Italy.
Since 2004 the region of South Tyrol is active in the introduction of Free Software as a platform for innovation. Early adapters like the SAD (public transport company) is using Free Software like GNU/Linux since 1993 as early adapters. 2005 the Italian speaking schools of the region migrated completly to GNU/Linux and many more experiences can be counted. Why I love G+
The comparison to Facebook is continuous but pointless. G+ is not comparable to Facebook,it is different and is used differently.
Google+ is far more social, in that its users reach out to people all over the world, that they otherwise wouldn’t have access to. It isn’t a place to collect already made contacts,it’s about making new contacts and broadening horizons.
Google+ opened up worlds to me that I would never have entered or had access to in any other part of my life. I would never have sat down with marketing/social/media experts and been listened to, let alone helped and reached out to.

Remembering +J.C. Kendall
There is something about this community that you can feel inside your heart. If you were one of the early adopters like +Clare Cosgrove and many others, you had the unique opportunity to form some extremely strong bonds.
Because of those deeply personal interactions, the ability to ping each other at the drop of a hat (through so many different devices and technology) these people that would otherwise be "strangers" on the Internet have become an important part of our lives.
I was so flattered long ago to be listed in +J.C. Kendall's company in this wonderful post (below) by +Clare Cosgrove that shows us exactly why we love this community so dearly. If it weren't for that compassion and caring for each other, I don't believe any of you (or I) would have known or cared that our dear friend suddenly passed away.

With the greatest of sorrow I, +su ann lim , have to inform you that Jonathan Christopher Kendall, my fiancé and love of my life, died suddenly last night on 15 June 2013. Despite the incredible efforts of our friends +Suzanne Jacob +Gaynal Brierley , paramedics and ambulance personnel he could not be revived.
Jonathan lived as he believed, telling it like it is, with wit and humour, enjoying life to the hilt, with honour, directness and compassion. I was incredibly blessed to be the recipient of his immense love, and as each other's beloved, to share unbelievable happiness for too short a time. Jonathan, I LOVE YOU with all my heart and miss you desperately.

The hoverbike : Its not new, its just looking much better.
The hovering drones would not fly as efficiently as helicopters because of their shorter rotor blades, but their enclosed rotors have the advantage of a much smaller size and safety near humans. "They are less efficient than a helicopter, which has the benefit of larger diameter rotors," De Roche explained. "They do have unique performance advantages, though, as they have demonstrated flight within trees, close to walls and under bridges." Aerofex has currently limited human flight testing to a height of 15 feet and speeds of about 30 mph, but more out of caution rather than because of any technological limits. Older versions of the hover vehicles could fly about as fast as helicopters, De Roche said.
