I just saw this %-graph of most popular sleeping positions. I had never seen this before. Could this be true? I find myself in the low-percentile positions <smile>.

I wonder about her face when she was young. I think she was quite pretty. This photo always remind me that everything is impermanent.

Laurene Powell-Jobs, Steve's better-half
In 1991, Jobs wed Laurene in a small Zen Buddhist ceremony. They had met when he went to speak at Stanford Business School and became distracted by the beautiful blond woman in the front row. He was supposed to go to a meeting that evening but he had a change of heart. He recalls: "I was in the parking lot with the key in the car, and I thought to myself, 'If this is my last night on earth, would I rather spend it at a business meeting or with this woman?' I ran across the parking lot and asked her if she'd have dinner with me." Powell, who graduated Stanford Business School the same year she wed Jobs, went on to serve as Jobs' 'better half', philanthropically-speaking. Among other projects, she founded College Track, a program that fosters higher education for underprivileged high school students. She also sits on... more »

Do you use a "protective filter" on your lens?
I encourage you to take that filter off your lens and leave it off if you want better image quality. Use it only if you want to protect your lens.

Photoshop Will End Blurry Pics Forever
http://youtu.be/xxjiQoTp864
Read the full article on Gizmodo: http://gizmodo.com/5848371/photoshop-will-end-blurry-pics-forever
"The motion blur-killer, demoed at the recent Adobe MAX 2011 conference, is experimental at this point. The Photoshop rep on stage won't say when it'll be implemented—only that they're working on it for some feature version. But it's absolutely incredible. With only a few clicks, a blurry image is quickly analyzed, allowed Photoshop to discern exactly how the image was messed up. That is to say, if you accidentally moved your hand slightly to the right and down while the shutter snapped, it'll pick that up. And then it reverses it—and that's the totally magical part."

As part of the The Jarvie Circle Share Project, we are collecting a list of all Indonesian speaking photographers on Google+. This includes Indonesians living in Indonesia and abroad, foreigners living in Indonesia, who lived in Indonesia in the past or have a passion for Indonesia and have a passable knowledge of Indonesia. Amateurs and Pros alike.
The objective is to let everyone be part of a community with local interests, talk about locations, the business, organizing meetings and photowalks, and giving everyone a chance to let her/him be known by fellow photographers.
If you want to be part of this, please register yourself here: http://www.group.as/indonesian%20speaking%20photographers/ Also please register at least one other photographer with the same characteristics, if you know of one.
The Group.as will serve as a full list of all Indonesian speaking photographers,... more »

50 mm f/1.4 - Canon or Sigma?
Dear all.
Now, I am using canon 50mm f/1.8. I want to upgrade to a faster lens. Does anyone have some experience on both Canon and Sigma 50mm f/1.4? Which one is better? Thanks.

(Maybe it’s one of my less than stellar ideas, but it could work... please share this post if you think it will.)
Do YOU want serious feedback about your photos?
Just think about all the combined creative power of some of the best professional and amateur photographers on the planet that is available right here on Google+. What if they knew that you are interested in some serious and constructive feedback about your photos?
How about a hashtag to mark those pictures with? I present to you: #critiquepls. It stands for CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM OR COMPLIMENTS PLEASE. What does it do? Well, if you add the hashtag #critiquepls to a photo in a public post, it means that your picture is now marked as “Open for Critique”.
In order to make this work, we need a LOT of people on board. Not only people posting pictures, but also people willing to co... more »

Remembering Steve Jobs
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
