As a lifelong fan of peppers, I approve this study: 

I received $1 for each jalapeno I ate as a young child. I also ate olives as a toddler and,also a kid, raw oysters on the half shell--at no charge. But not a fan of ketchup or mayo.

My Cinco de Mayo lunch featured a sizable quantity stuff I grow, harvested within 30 minuts of eating (well, the carrots were harvested in January but everything else came out of the backyard garden).

The other bit of the meal was about 6 oz of wild-caught Alaskan Coho salmon (frozen).

Found this little critter squatting on a pile of folded clothes in my guest bedroom yesterday. Took him/her outside and I guess he flew away.

Anyone know what it is? Yellow jacket? The wings don't seem right for a bee and, up close, it's not fuzzy like a bee, as best I could tell. I have other pics (and they're available on Flickr, as well).

It will be interesting to watch this develop. I'm not particularly interested in augmented reality--and I make it a practice to detach from online communications, at least once each month for 24 hours.

But I'm intrigued by the marketing implications of Google Glass, as well as the health consequences of full detachment from reality.
