The flood of 1982, Rocky Mt. National Park, Colorado
On July 15th, at 6am the earthen damn at Lawn Lake catastrophically failed and sent 30 million cubic feet of water rushing down the this creek depositing a fan of debris and flooding the town of Estes Park. Tragically 3 lives were lost.

Harbor Bridge- Corpus Christi, Texas
Last year they installed this lighting for the holidays, the colors alternate between red, blue and green. Became so popular the city decided to leave them in place.

One of the great things about the X100 is the leaf shutter, besides being quiet it has some very useful high X-sync speeds. Combine a radio trigger with some off camera flash you can get some interesting results even in bright conditions.

Harbor Bridge
All done up for Christmas, that boat stern visible below the arch is a Columbus ship replica displayed at the museum. Used to float but started leaking and they hauled it out.

Buzzer
Somebody asked me the other day- “what do you get out of photography?” For me the answer was easy- photography has opened my senses to the visual world around me and given me lifetime of noticing details and interesting light that most people walk right by.
What would be your answer?

Last Gasp
My tribute photo to Edvard Munch who would have been 149 years old today.
Edvard was most noted for his famous painting "The Scream" that fetched nearly $120 million at Christie's this year, making it the most expensive work of art to ever sell at auction.
