Probably a good move on Google's part. Don't get me wrong..I play online games with the best of them..but in the social space it just does not make sense. There are already way to many annoying posts in the public stream.

I am still wondering how the process of being awarded a vanity url on G+ works..or not works.
Not for sure I am buying in on what I am reading from those who are getting the vanity url's on how they got their vanity url.
There must be something more than being extremely active on G+. If that is the case everyone in the GAI Posse would have a vanity URL.
The notion you have to have ten's of thousands of people in your circle does not hold water either since that process can be easily gamed.
So, what is the real process of being awarded a vanity URL on G+???

It is VERY good to offer viewers a nice Cover Photo on your G+ page, but beware of placing an Autoawesome photo in the cover page. It will NOT get you into very many meaningful circles.

J.C. Kendall, as I will always remember him
Two weeks ago, I had the great luck to be on an HOA together with +J.C. Kendall , +Jim Ault, +R. Harlan Smith and our host +John Rakestraw on the subject of Killer Content. As always, J.C. gave us not only his intelligence and knowledge, but himself. He shared his wit, humor, passion and some frustrations, in other words, himself.
He was a good friend and I am ever so sorry to have lost him way too soon. He leaves a big hole in my Google+ world.
I truly mean it when I say: Rest In Peace J.C.!

With the greatest of sorrow I, +su ann lim , have to inform you that Jonathan Christopher Kendall, my fiancé and love of my life, died suddenly last night on 15 June 2013. Despite the incredible efforts of our friends +Suzanne Jacob +Gaynal Brierley , paramedics and ambulance personnel he could not be revived.
Jonathan lived as he believed, telling it like it is, with wit and humour, enjoying life to the hilt, with honour, directness and compassion. I was incredibly blessed to be the recipient of his immense love, and as each other's beloved, to share unbelievable happiness for too short a time. Jonathan, I LOVE YOU with all my heart and miss you desperately.

I think Facebook is making a huge mistake via mobile vs G+
Using the Facebook app on my iPad there's a monster sized ad per every two or three post from my friends.
That's going to make even the strongest advocate for the book of faces to start looking elsewhere for their social fix
