I'll have more information on this soon, but for now here's what I know about a vanilla HTC One coming to the US soon.
I'm not totally sure how I feel about this. I'm pretty sure most of the things that I really like about the One rely on HTC's software.

DoS attacks suck...
Someone who doesn't like CMStats is spamming CM gerrit with patchset uploads every 3 minutes. These patchset uploads have 340-500 patches each. They're making sure not to recycle changeIDs, and each patch in a set just adds one blank line to an XML file.
NOT the way to get your point across.

"What you may be surprised to hear is that HAL had him strapped into a simulator just two hours after he landed."
I think I've seen this movie before. +Chris Hadfield you should actively avoid things named HAL in your line of work.

Best conversation with my attorney today. I walked into the office wearing Glass, fully prepared to remove it if asked. Brought my little case and everything. The receptionist asked to try it out, and handed it right back to me with a smile. The paralegal on my case and my attorney both went about their business as though I didn't have a computer on my face. When I finished signing my papers, he looked at me and asked " how comfortable is that thing?" and the conversation started.
When I asked him about surveillance and uncertainty, he had an incredibly simple answer.
"We already have laws that prohibit that kind of thing, especially here in Maryland. If you were recording me with that thing, and I didn't give permission, you'd be in some pretty serious trouble."
It's what I've been saying this whole time. What everyone is concerned ... more »

You told us what you would do #ifihadglass, now’s your chance to show us
Our Explorer Program started last year at our I/O conference when developers signed up to be the first people to try Glass. Last Tuesday, we finished inviting these developers to officially join the Explorer Program and we’re already seeing amazing things come from them. They've really embraced the Explorer spirit — the spirit of someone who’s ready to jump in, get their hands dirty and take on a challenge.
In February, we opened up the Explorer Program by asking people across Google+ and Twitter what they would do if they had Glass. We were looking for bold, creative individuals to become our next wave of Explorers — and wow, did we get them. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be slowly rolling out invitations to successful #ifihadglass applicants. If you were one of the successful applicants, p... more »

After our "support the PTA" dinner this evening, I sent Acacia through the playplace while wearing Glass. This is what came of that mission.

My favorite thing in the world is when I rush my kids through dinner and screw up my plans so I can get home for a 6:30 meeting that the other person completely forgot was happening and calls me to reschedule at 6:35.
Just absolutely my very favorite thing.

Wow, no kidding. There's a ton of negativity surrounding the Xbox One and I don't get it.
The console looked pretty solid to me, but I think most people are upset that Microsoft didn't spend 1.5 hours showing off games like Sony did for the PS4 launch. I kind of feel like this approach is better, especially with E3 around the corner to focus on the 15 new games we were just promised.
Still, strange responses all over.

Ah, I get it now. When you plug Glass in to power it shoots all of your photos off to Instant Upload. Pretty responsible way of handling that.

Ever since the first design shots for Glass showed up, one of the loudest questions asked is how this wearable tech will work with Glasses. The short answer is that there's no universal solution for those of us with glasses, but the current design already lends itself quite well to most types of glasses.

Yeah, no. Not cool Ubisoft. Seriously not cool.
Both Amazon and GameStop have managed to secure exclusive single-player missions for those of us who pre-order the game with them. That means, as a gamer you won’t be able to experience all missions Ubisoft has created for the game unless you buy the game from multiple retailers.

It looks like today is Xbox announcement day, but how great would it be if Microsoft decided to start shipping this summer instead of waiting for the Christmas rush?

The scanner cut off my project names, so lets just call this project: tease
Ever since +Russell Holly showed me some neat LCARSian icons, it got me thinking I could actually do a launcher without ruining the LCARS theme. What's been preventing me was that Basic4Android would not allow me to access the LiveWallpaper or Widget systems, however given the point would to be LCARS, you'd probably be fine using my own replacements, which I now have one for widgets.
The other thing that stops me from making a launcher, is why? With my app serving as the LiveWallpaper, there isn't much need. It already themes your system. It'd be a lot of work (the dialer took months, and it's only half done, and I abandoned the rest) for only a little benefit

Screensharing to someone wearing Glass works surprisingly well in a Hangout. Also, if someone is typing you get the text hovering over everything for a moment. Unfortunately every time someone leaves the Hangout it kicks me out as well. Kind of odd, but overall very cool to see how well thought out this is.

For me, the wait for Glass is almost 20 years in the making.
Summer of 1995, +lyn holly got me this Tiger R-Zone. It strapped to my head and projected games onto a flimsy plastic screen, with a tethered controller that allowed for storage of one other game. Battery powered portable gameplay. It was an incredible experience for me, at the ripe old age of 9. I never took the thing off, even when I wasn't playing it. I'd stuff the controller in my pocket and just walk around with this bulky plastic mess strapped to my forehead.
I can't even begin to tell you how many times I was scolded for leaving it on so long there were marks on my head, or trying to take it into a restaurant. It was a unique experience, to have a display projected in front of my without totally obscuring my world view, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I don't know when it broke, but I... more »
