Face-Off

I's on a team of photogs shooting a 3 days rugby tournament one week before Easter. Almost shooting non-stop, running up & down the stadium with heavy lenses & gears for over 12 hours a day, then spent another 2 or 3 hours loading & selecting photos, total exhaustion was the only result. 

Before that, I's already extremely busy in the past 2 months... overtime works, overnight works... Now it's April, things slow down a bit. Hopefully I can take more rest & return more to this great community! :D Perhaps it's a good time for me to think more. Perhaps it's also a good time for a face-off against my boss!! Yo! either reduce my workload or I got to think about moving on... :)))

Dinosaurs in the city? From the viewpoint where I shot, it seems like that they built the port in the middle of a crowded city. In fact, it's one of the berth in one of the world most busiest container port. It looks kinda weird, right? :))

A bridge to the airport. This is the only way we can get to our airport. I'm quite a frequent flyer & working on projects for the airport for so many years. Not until recently I've found such a view when I walked my dog on a hillside. Now I got more ideas on my next project shooting for the airport authority... all that thanks to my dog Jacky! If he didn't ran away(again) & I didn't chased him, I'd have never found this spot. :))

Happy New Year folks! I wish everyone a great 2013 ahead! And a productive one!! 

2012 was a tough year to me, extreme workloads, delayed projects, trouble clients, blah blah blah. In the last 2 months I have spent unbelievable hours working and overnight works became routine! Glad that I still could managed to escape from all these in the past 2 weeks on a remote island somewhere in the Pacific for the holiday season! :)) & I really hope that 2013 will be an easier year for me...

I's wondering why there are so many locks inside the back alley behind my office? And, most of them are literally "deadlocks". To show my tribute to their services before they got rusty, I brought my camera & took portraits for them one by one. ;))

I's working inside a tunnel today. More I visit this kind of construction sites, more I respect the workers working under such a horrible condition. The heat, the humidity, the mud & the dust exhausted me in less than half an hour!

A view of our CBD which I shot from the same spot of the photo I post last week. Lesson learned. Carbon tripod sucks when using a telephoto lens under very windy condition. This is one of a few shot I could get a "ok" sharp image... :((

Sometime it's easy to get bored shooting for clients. Especially shooting those board members during their meetings. Endless waiting, one of those directors comes & shoot for perhaps 5 minutes, then another long wait. Glad that this time we're trapped in a room with a view. At least I could shoot something else during the long wait. :)

While looking for a spot to shoot this historical hotel, I found that in the middle of this crossroad could be a nice try. But hey, it's a crossroad, the traffic came from every directions. How could I stand in the middle of the road to shoot this? So I timed the traffic lights, ummm... 50 seconds from red to green. Great, that's more than enough time. So I rushed out there while one traffic light turned red, frame it, focus, test shot, rush back & repeated a few times to get it. Job done! :)) You know what I hate in this shot? The giant Canon neon sign!!! Hahaha... what can I say, I'm a nikonian. :D

Yesterday I went to this area to walk my dog. I kept reminding myself to shoot something for +Gemma Costa's #mirrormonday  :))

Sadly my dog keep bumping on my tripod during exposures & I missed the moment when the moon rose up from the ridge. BTW, the orange lights over the horizon are from the city! See, light pollution! :)

Chaotic Crossing

Again I was absented from all the conversations, actions & fun here for over a month. Miss you guys & your beautiful works so much!! Today is our national day & mid-autumn festival. Hopefully I can take a day or 2 resting & do absolutely nothing! :D

Finally I can have a break. Now I am totally exhausted, got emptied inside, confused, have absolutely no idea what's next... going nowhere or everywhere, just like this picture... :))

Sometimes I really amazed by the fact that there are so many scenic views in a tiny place like Hong Kong. This is a small part in the south side of the Hong Kong Island, merely 20 minutes drive from the heart of the city on the northern coastline.
