I think there is an incredible opportunity for museums to embrace Instagram as a way to connect with a new generation of patrons. I'm very interested in the intersection between institutions that are historically dedicated to the visual arts and the creative explosion that has been fueled by Instagram and mobile photography. Through this project, I'm seeking to build bridges between these two worlds. Since the project began, the Museum's Instagram account has grown from 4,000 to 40,000 followers.

Cohlie Brocato

I met Cohlie at a tea shop, where he kindly offered half his table for me to sit down at. We started talking shop and ended up messing around with the Hasselblad 503cx I've been shooting with recently. This camera is SO much fun! On a recent shoot I shot 8 rolls of 120 FUJI color film with a #hasselblad 503cx. This shot is at 40mm, f4, speed is 400. This is a direct scan, didn't take time to do any post yet. #film #filmphotography

The Empty Metropolitan Museum

Recently I had the opportunity to lead a group of Instagram users through a closed Museum. It was a lot of fun- the Museum may be the quietest place in the whole city when no one is there. I kept whispering like it was a library, only to be told in a normal voice, "You don't need to whisper." Here are some images from the day.
