I have the CNN and New York Times breaking news apps installed on my Google Glass and today it has been quite sobering. It notifies me whenever there's new news surrounding the Oklahoma tornadoes. I look up whenever I get a notification, and see another sad story with pictures and video from the area, all as my hands are occupied building a playhouse, safe, here in Utah for my kids.

My prayers are with you Oklahoma.

Star Trek Into Darkness was the best 3D movie I've ever seen - it was built for 3D it seemed. The cinematography was amazing! (the story too of course)

I got +Creighton Baird  to wear my Google Glass. Recognize him? He's in almost all of +Devin Graham's videos, pushed his girlfriend off a cliff (I was there to witness it!) ;-), and he jumps off cliffs for a living. I really love this new Google+ interface. It draws me in with lots of stuff to look at. I do think I need to personalize the experience more though to people I've met in real life or close to that - with the friend limits and Google Glass's functionality for sharing I think that's the direction Google is trying to take this service. It really is about people you know, close friends, and family - that means they really want to compete with Facebook, not Twitter as I originally thought should be their approach.

That +Larry Page keynote today really resonated with me. It made me think of them as one of the good guys. It made me see them as visionaries, much more than just a company. Either Google is really good at marketing, or we should be backing them full force because of their intentions - what do you think?

A lot of references to the book, "Being Digital" by +Larry Page in his answers in referencing atoms vs. bits. I highly recommend the book if you haven't read it yet - it's truly prophetic and Google is fulfilling much of those prophesies.
