Thanks to everyone in China and Vietnam who still believes that RHINO HORN can cure disease...
You are all ensuring my kids may not see a live rhino in the wild by the time they''re grown up.
PLEASE SHARE AND MAKE THIS GO VIRAL
More than 260 rhinos have been poached in 2013 alone!
RHINO HORN IS NOT MEDICINE - IT''S BASICALLY FINGERNAILS!
You may not like to see this, but it''s necessary that many people see the reality of rhino poaching. If you report this photo as unsuitable you are more concerned about your own comfort than getting an important message out.
A rhino crime scene: The recent poaching incident at Borakalalo. Thanks to demand from the East, rhino horn is ounce-for-ounce worth more than platinum or gold.

New Yorkers react to Google Glass
From the video its clear that people are not freaked out by it. Its also clear that the success of Google glass will depend on the price.

Run your fingers through my soul. For once, just once, feel exactly what I feel, believe what I believe, perceive as I perceive, look, experience, examine, and for once; just once, understand.

Our Milky Way...
I shot this in Sutherland, South Africa, last weekend. (climbing fences and hanging out with jackals and various other things alone at midnight ...)
All in search of a dark sky.
On the right of the image - the small and large Magellanic Clouds, they are dwarf galaxies to our milky way.

I know its not friday yet, we can all wish. I stumbled upon this one of my daughter when she was about three years old eating a packet of biscuits with Thor and Maxi watching. They were mezmerized by her and stood there long enough for me to run indoors to grab the camera. RIP both of them and thank you for the years of love and great memories... For the Love of Rotweillers....

*RHINO HORN HAS NO MEDICINAL PROPERTIES WHATSOEVER!*
Rhino horns are made of keratin, the same material that makes up your hair and fingernails and using rhino horn for medicinal purposes have the same effect on you as biting your nails or eating your own hair!
Please help us protect these beautiful animals! At the current rate of poaching, rhinos will be extinct within a few years.
Please spread this message as wide as possible!

Recommended JavaScript books
I regularly receive emails from developers asking what books I recommend for learning JS. If you''re looking to touch up on your language knowledge or learn from scratch, I''m happy to suggest the following:
Effective JavaScript - +David Herman''s awesome new book provides an in-depth exploration of the language and provides a concise, modern take on developing maintainable JavaScript. Dave is a member of TC39 who has been involved in helping with many proposals for the next version of the language is really knows his shit. Recommended by +Alex Russell, +Paul Irish and others.
JavaScript The Definitive Guide, 6th Edition - one of my personal favorites. A comprehensive walkthrough of the language which benefits both beginner and intermediate developers alike. It''s also a solid reference guide, should you need to go back and b... more »
