UHC TIPS: Make a wooden pick, mine three stone & throw away wooden pick. Only covered forests? Get on top, run around and chop leaves with stone axes. ;) Ready to mine? Stand between two blocks and mine straight down to diamond level. There's all the iron, coal, gold, diamonds and obsidian you'll need. Plus, most caves are lit by lava and so fewer mobs.

Easy PvE tips: 1) Watch your hunger like your life depends on it, because it does. 2) Zoom your mini-map in a bit and pay attention to it. The mini-map is totally OP. You can see through walls, around corners and even behind you. 3) Don't melee two witches simultaneously. That's just silly. ;)

No snarky comments about Snoop "accidentally" deleting save files in the transition to a new server? I'm a little disappointed. I think Modii is off his game a bit.

Grab those berry bushes! Fruit is amazing with Pam's Harvestcraft. Make juices and fruit medley, add snow for smoothies, sugar for jellies - which you can eat on their own and make into sandwiches. You can juice carrots and watermelons too, and make apple juice with the presser. There's also toast sandwiches - yes it's a silly idea, but good food! And, make sure to get yourself a lunchbox, it's really handy. :)

All right, I'll bite. I spent nearly 15 years bouncing in and out of homeless shelters. I was diagnosed as an alcoholic with depression. Turns out I have a genetic defect that inhibits my bodies' ability to process some B vitamins. This caused problems in my digestive tract with a yeast overgrowth which caused damage that didn't recover because of the vitamin deficiency. For decades I had sensations in my abdomen that I misidentified as negative emotions. The yeast also gave me cravings for alcohol and sugar and caused other problems that were too easy to wrongly classify as being "mental" or willpower related.

My situation is still very precarious but knowing and dealing with the actual problem I have genuine hope I'll be able to dig my way out of the hole I'm in. Most people who become long-term homeless never truly recover. They end up in the hands of... more »

When Star Wars was released in 1977, it was a profound experience for me as an 11 year old boy. That boy hates the prequels, not because they are bad, but because they are ordinary, big box office, Hollywood movies and they don't live up to the promise of the original.

There's some conveniences Botania has to offer that are pretty easy to get. The ring of magnetization, soujourner's sash and the rod of the lands. The ring does as described. The sash gives hillstep, a little speed and jump boost. Both, along with a band of mana which you'll need to power everything, go in the baubles inventory. The rod is an item that allows you to place virtually infinite dirt blocks. No more worries about having building blocks.

Getting started with Botania you'll need the Lexica Botania which you craft with a sapling and a book. After you make DAYBLOOMS immediately make at least two ENDOFLAMES.  These are for generating mana. I stress this because people starting out think they can get by with just the dayblooms but they are very, very slow, even with a bunch of them.

Suggestion: The Worlds of Bentley!  Don't do anymore Chocolate Quest in this series. When it ends, put together a pack with CQ, which is a lot deeper than people realize - it has actual quests, and Galacticraft - which also has a lot of dungeons. CQ has dungeons in the nether too so adding Hardcore Ender Expansion would also make sense. ProjectE would make going to space less of a grind. Oh! And I know for a fact that Realistic World Gen is compatible with CQ - please show people how cool that mod is!
