Minimalism
I absolutely love minimalism, and I often find myself working to simplify an image as much as possible in camera. I try to keep distracting elements to an absolute minimum - so I look for subtle light, simple compositions, a clean color scheme, and a clear point of interest to draw the eye. I use a variety of camera techniques to achieve the look I want - a wide aperture for a narrow depth of field... or a long shutter speed to blur out unwanted details.
I've sorted my Wilderness Photography gallery so that the first 12 images showcase some of my minimalist work. What do you think?
