This is the swamp behind the Glendale Gardens, a 103-acres of demonstration gardens and conservation area in Victoria, BC. There is a viewing platform that allows people to get a better view of the swamp.

My contribution to #SwampySaturday curated by +Ray Bilcliff I shot this a couple of years ago at Caddo Lake on the Texas-Louisiana border. When I was at this spot in October the lake was four feet low. These trees were out of the water. I sure hope the recent rains have raised the level of the lake.

I was wondering if I was going to have to wait for Mirror Monday and then notice it's #SwampySaturday curated by +Ray Bilcliff (+#SwampySaturday)

This is something I took yesterday while hiking the Metacomet Trail in Southington, CT. There is a huge swampy messy puddle up there that always catches my eye. I had some time due to the day off so I actually used the tripod this time :-)
This is a combination of 6 separate auto-bracketed (0,-2,+2) shots, merged with #photomatix and pano-merged with photoshop.

Why I call the Everglades "The Beautiful Swamp" sometimes you get carried away with the beauty of it and forget that it is a dangerous place.

It is a place where it is very easy to get lost in, and the Everglades is not a place you ever want to get lost in.
