Crawfish boil with friends tonight! I went over early and borrowed a few and brought them back for a little photo shoot. I've been wanting to shoot this photo for years but never had the opportunity till today. Do you ever do that? I "worked" with this little lady for a half-hour or so this afternoon. Finally got her in a position to see the red spot on her abdomen. It's a little out of the DOF but it's pretty good I think. So I was doing some shooting out on my patio yesterday and this little guy comes along and yells "Hey!, what about me?!" I'm surprised I heard him since grasshopper voices are almost inaudible to humans. :)  So I gently picked up the straw he was on, put it in my plamp, and had my way with him for a little while. How do you like my grasshopper?

Most bugs I encounter are in constant motion but this one was very cooperative. He stayed still for about 30 minutes while I experimented with focus and extension tubes. I have no clue what this is, maybe you can help. :)
