I wish I was in San Francisco attending the Drink and Click event.  I was just in the same area earlier in the week, but didn't have my tripod with me.  This was about the best I could do handheld from where we were at.  Looking forward to seeing pics from everyone there tonight to see "what might have been."

A New Dawn

Looking for some feedback: 

Does horizon straight through the middle work for this image, or should I try to crop to top or bottom third?  I didn't want to crop the foreground, but I also didn't want to lose the color change in the sky.  Ideally I would have gotten this right out of camera, but not sure what I should do now.  Thoughts?

For anyone who has been following over the past 10 days, you know what this is all about. 
I give 10 items to 500 photographers of every level,
I give them a month to shoot their take of the item
I collect all images, make them anonymous and have them judged.
I then present each album to the world! (or... my G+ piece of it anyway!)

Chillin

I haven't had much time to take any pics lately, but here is a quick snap that I took of the newborn this afternoon.  This was a practice shot for this weekend as I am going to try to get some good photos of the kid.  

The more I try to do shots like this, the more I appreciate the pros.  I used to dread and avoid paying for professional photos (and looked for cheap options), but now I seem to be more willing to pay for someone that knows what they are doing.  Time to save up some cash for some new family pics.  :-)

This is the fourth time since joining G+ almost a year ago that I'm sharing my photographers circle.  I shared it with 500 photographers, 1,000 photographers, 1,500 photographers and now 2,000 photographers.  I have to break my circle up into four 500 photographer circles as that is the G+ limit.  Each day this week (Mon.- Thurs.) I'll share a different circle.  Today is the third circle and includes photographers with the last name's Ro-Z.

My Little Angel

I had the opportunity to take a couple of shots of my daughter who was a flower girl in a wedding this weekend.  I've got to admit I blew out some whites in that dress.  Lots of respect for those wedding photographers out there - tough job and I can't imagine the amount of stress involved.
