Having discovered that my mother (and everyone else) thought she arrived here this Thurs but appeared to be booked on a plane from South Africa next Monday and out here next Tues. I then had to spoil her day by informing her of this and my brother's day because he has to try and sort it for her. All before 9 am. A misty morning walk was just what I needed :D

Reached 5000 limit in your Google+ account?

Google+ imposes a restriction of 5000 people in your circles total. So, what do you do when you reach this limit? What if there are more interesting people to add to your circles?

Of course, you can review people (and their posts) in your circles one by one in order to decide which ones have no added-value for your stream and then remove them from all your circles. However, it's not a productive way of doing things.

Sharing at +Andy Stuart's promting. Sorry I am bad about sharing with communities. My life is very topsy-turvy at the moment and I tend to just post in my circles etc. 

I had to go through to Edinburgh to a meeting last Saturday. When walking back to the station I took a quick detour up Calton Hill.

Well I have been to the big city's and now I am home again. 
And..it's Monday. There used to be no Sunday ferry...the Sunday plane has only been running for 11/12 yrs. Anyway..I have discovered that the Sunday ferry is both a blessing and a curse. The curse being if you do the return journey from Glasgow on a Sunday (11hrs) you don't get home till late and then your straight into a Monday morning ..Ugh.

Anyway Good Monday all .. I need to start with tidying my desk..which looks far too much like this lady's.

Stripped To The Bones

This collection of street portraits has grown bigger than even I thought. I sat looking through it last night, seeing all the faces again I could hear their stories resonate again within me. 

Truth be told when we start to strip each other to the bone we are all the same, we will all be born and die, its just the time between that differs and there is so much that will and could govern that time.

No one grows up with the ambition to be homeless, alcoholic, drug user or a beggar. So many thing must happen to eventually drive a person that way, the problem we have is we think it will never happen to us.

Its a shame that some have found out the hard way it can and has, we live in hard times were those that have nothing now seem to have even less, and those that made this unholy mess we now live in seem to carry on as if nothing has... more »

I am ashamed..in all the time we've been here I've never been to Shawbost shore before. It's only about 10 miles up the road. What a perfect little bay. Love it..can't wait to go back!
