I'm working on my plenary speeches for +Write sex right : Eroticon this weekend. I'll be talking about the state of sex blogging.
My main points are that the sex toy industry needs to get up to date in their blogger outreach programmes - stop using bloggers for cheap SEO links and start nurturing relationships with bloggers based on brand management and audience interaction.
What do you all think?

I am an erotic writer see and run +Write sex right : Eroticon a website and conference for sex bloggers and erotica writers.
I'm a lone parent - so when I'm not being bossed around by my daughter I try and write erotica, organise events and keep up with what's going on in the world of sex blogging.

I got some work done along the way - submitted a venue enquiry for #eroticonusa and got 500 words done on a work in progress.
And of course once I'd done that I took to social media to tell everyone!

If I make something free on Smashwords, how long does it take for Amazon to catch up?
I want to offer a free book over a specific period - is it too much of a gamble to try to discount via Smashwords or would I be better going with KDP select to enusure it is free on kindle for the time I want?

Are you a sex blogger who writes sex toy reviews? Did you know that if you don't disclose any products or payments you receive in exchange for blog posts that you could be breaking the law?
Both US and UK consumer agencies state that advertising must be clearly stated and not misleading and guess what, your sex toy review counts as advertising.
I'd love to hear about people's experiences of the good, the bad, and the downright ugly of companies that send out toys for review - but please remember - keep it clean and non-libellous.

A quick round up on the +Write sex right : Eroticon blog looking at three new erotic fiction publishers : Burning Book Press, Wildheart from Oleander and yet to be launched Velvet Books.
Each press has a different goal and aiming at different audiences it will be interesting to watch them progress.
Of course I'm particularly interested in Burning Book Press as they picked up my novella Normal after Republica closed.

Wanted for Xmas: Postcards from around the world.
When asked, my 16yo daughter Chelsea wants something simple for Xmas, however it is something that i am unable to give her easily.
YOU however can!
She would love to receive postcards from all over the world, preferably with a picture of some sort of where you come from or something that represents your country, so she can put it on her wall
Her goal in life is to travel to pretty much everywhere, and her interests are Archaeology and Anthropology, Sci-Fi,Doctor Who, Fringe, Canada, Reading, Learning, and most things geeky.
If you have a second spare and a few coins, would love a postcard from you. Bonus points if you cards come from Egypt, Canada, France (she can understand basic French), and England!
