Daily photo themes are a great way to share your best work and to find creative work by others for enjoyment and inspiration.
Many of the theme creators/curators also maintain a Google+ page on the theme. Some of the pages highlight some of the curator's favorite participant contributions, others are set up for participants to tag the page in their photo and automatically have their work appear in the page's stream.
I like to discover new photographers and to get inspired by great photos, so for the +#SelflessSunday Theme on G+ page I look for a few of those types of posts to share, rather than have the page simply duplicate-post all contributions (and mirror the "see all posts" functionality that clicking on the hashtag already performs). I'd also be concerned that auto-posting all contributions might set the page up for a high volume of self-promotional spam. I'm not trying to advocate on approach though, if any curators would like to offer how/why they manage their pages in a certain way, that's fine, I'm open to suggestions. I also like to catch up on curation later in the week when I can see all posts, and the ones I highlight can be discovered by community members who weren't online when the original post flew by on the stream.

Just Include the theme hashtag, like today's #SelflessSunday, in the text of your post, and others can find it by clicking on the hashtag or in searches. If you want interaction though, don't sit around waiting: you get what you give. Be the interaction you want to see. Or just browse photos and get inspired. There's no "one right way" to enjoy Google+; interaction isn't a prize to win or something to compete for. I only mention it in the context of making new friends with similar interests. Over the course of the past year, I've met a lot of fun and inspiring people, many of whom I get out and shoot with regularly, and others I hope to meet and shoot with some day. Whatever you're here for, a photography theme can categorize images in ways which may help you find the types of images you'd most like to see or photographers you'd like to see more work from.
I was having some trouble finding photography theme pages, so if I've missed some, please mention them in the comments and I'll include them in a future update.
