LAKES HATE YOU!
The tranquil beauty of placid water. The calming sensation of lazily floating. Lakes are nature's happy place AND LAKES HATE YOU! The Great Lakes drown 70 people per year, and that's the least harmful thing lakes do to you. Under that calm exterior is a boiling cauldron of disease and destruction...

Someone, quick, call a #wahmbulance
Link litter is useless.
I am not going to write each spammer a personalized flowery letter about why the way they post is RUDE and spammy. The fact that I didn't ban you after you posted link litter SEVERAL times already was me being nice. Finally, the third or fourth time I've noticed, I decided to warn you. Instead, you took that as an insult.
Well... I take your existence in the community an insult to every active who follows the rules (of which most are simply to prevent spam like yours).

Due to an error with the altitude sensor, the Kepler space telescope has once again been put into safe mode. As of right now there is doubt to whether or not it will be able to be fixed, but NASA isn’t giving up all hope yet.
When Kepler was launched in 2009, it had four stabilizing wheels to keep it properly aligned. One wheel broke last summer and with another one out of commission, it cannot perform properly.
During its mission, Kepler has observed more than 150,000 stars and 132 planets.

If you’re planning on going to see Star Trek: Into Darkness this weekend, there’s a good chance that you’ll see a special 30-second-long trailer during the previews called “Support Exploration: We Must Go.”
NASA is a government agency and thus not allowed to advertise, so others decided to do it for them. The Aerospace Industries Association partnered with the Challenger Center for Space Science Education to rekindle public support for space exploration. Over 1,700 people donated to make it possible to run the ad in 50 cities across the United States before the latest installment of Star Trek.
If you can’t make it out to the movies this weekend or your city isn’t one featuring the trailer, you can view it here: http://bit.ly/10KThrE

One-Third of U.S. Honeybee Colonies Died Last Winter, Threatening Food Supply
No, it's not because of Oprah's Giveaway of BEES!!!
Multiple factors — pesticides, fungicides, parasites, viruses and malnutrition — are believed to cause the losses, which were officially announced today by a consortium of academic researchers, beekeepers and Department of Agriculture scientists.
“One in every three bites [of food consumed in the U.S.] is directly or indirectly pollinated by bees.”

Schmoyoho, the group behind the infamous “Bed Intruder” video, have just released their latest songified diddy, “Dead Giveaway.” The video features Charles Ramsey, the neighbor who heroically helped Amanda Berry, her daughter and two other women escape from captivity in Cleveland, Ohio earlier this week.
“I knew somethin’ was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms,” Ramsey says. “Dead giveaway, dead giveaway, my neighbor got big testicles ’cause we see this dude everyday.”
It is so damn catchy.
