Developing a positive self image is one of the WORST things a Christian can ever do to himself. Stop thinking about yourself all together. Forget your strengths, your weaknesses and everything in between - focus on your image of Jesus. That's where your true identity is, that's where your true potential lies.

You can try or you can trust, but you can't do both.

If you see Christianity as difficult, then you will apply more effort - pray more, fast longer, resolve to do your best and so on. However, when you realize that it is not difficult but impossible to live the Christian life, then you quit. You quit trying to do anthing in your own strength and you start trusting in the one who can do the impossible. Are you trying or trusting?

You know in the business world where there's so much 'self help' material and success guru talk, it's easy to forget the role of grace. They tell you "If it's to be, it's up to me", "success is spelt WORK". They point you to yourself as the key to your success.

The Gospel of Jesus shows us otherwise. Jesus, and his finished work is the real key to your businesses success.

The choice is clear, you can try, or you can trust. You can 'self help' or you can rely on the help God provides. You can lean on your own understanding or you can tap into the guru of all gurus, the all knowing one.

Someone Warned me, "Don't mix business with Christianity, people will judge you more harshly when you claim to love Jesus so much".

People, it's far better to be judged harshly by those who consider themselves qualified to judge others than to deny Jesus in any area of your life. You will make mistakes, even stupid ones, maybe you already have - but never let anyone or anything intimidate you from declaring that you belong to Jesus.

One of the BIGGEST problems with the advertising industry is that people confuse effectiveness with how creative the advert is. it’s a lot easier to create a funny, entertaining or really creative advert than it is to create one that fills your bank account – and NO, it’s not the same thing.

Problem is that most new businesses in Zimbabwe think of themselves as smaller versions of big businesses that already exist. By doing that, you're forcing yourself to compete on the terms set by your already established, bigger, more well known, better financed competitors. Bigger competitors are not impossible to beat, but you won't do it by playing their game. You've got to think more strategically than that.

Sheesh, after two days of craziness, close calls and incredible pain (for my wife), our son is born...healthy and as a (whats a really helathy thing?)_! Pics later! Seriously people...marketing and art are not the same thing. Just because an advert, website, brochure looks good, does not make it effective. I'm amazed by the people in big offices who still don't understand this simple principle. Writing another post on it for the blog - arh!
